I have a nice lot for the restorer or the hobbyist of 15 vintage and not so vintage Panel meters. Mostly Simpson. Weston, an RCA branded Voltmeter, two KEW meters and one Micronta(Radio Shack) meter. One of the Simpsons is still in the box but dusty, The Weston DB meter has a crack in the glass. Two of the Simpsons have loose glass, I leave fixing them up to the winning bidder, I don't want to mess them up trying to do so. You get every meter pictured here which will be packed carefully in a oversize heavy duty box. All items sold as is and are represented to the best of my ability. These might be working. We don't have the knowledge or equipment to ensure they are working properly and there is some physical damage to one. So we're listing them as"parts or repair" Auction includes everything shown in the photos and only what's shown in the photos. We put a new battery in the FS-3 and were able to confirm that the resistance measurement is working. The RS-3 uses a powered probe for resistance which we don't have so we could not test anything of it. The FS-3 is the one with the physical damage. WORKING! VERY RARE vintage Electrohome TV BOOMBOX! ROUND METERS! RETRO! M22-801
ELECTROHOME M22-801 TV BOOMBOX Description Electrohome are mainly known for their high-end midcentury modern speaker/turntable systems. Which looked kitschy and space-age. This boombox is so rare I can't find a single mention of it online- in fact, I can't find any mention online that Electrohome made boomboxes in the 20th century. This portable stereo is extremely heavy and sturdy. And in wonderful condition considering its age. The back says it was made in 1979. It has very distinctive round dials in front for the radio tuner lines- the tuner needle spins like a compass instead of moving on a straight line. It also has a small integrated TV with a neat little cover that folds in and out. The buttons for the tape deck are surrounded by a crazy-cool miniature rackmount handle. Its measurements are 14.5" wide. 9.5" tall, ... moreand 4" deep. The antenna is 25" when fully extended. Amazingly. The tape deck still works great. It could probably use new belts, but it does play well, and the fast forward and rewind are nice and strong. The tape counter also works. This is a mono boombox, but the single speaker sounds quite rich. The tone control knobs work well also. The AM and FM reception are great, and the radio tuner dial works like it should. The round tuner dials still illuminate when you hit the Light button. I can't get any reception with the TV. Although it does turn on and show static. I suppose the principal problem is that analog TV transmissions are a thing of the past. There might also be something wrong with the TV tuner dial, because the needle will only move a little way and there's a feeling of resistance. The contrast dial for the TV is missing from the console at the top of the unit. The top part of the antenna is broken away; there's 25 inches of antenna left. There's a small scuff on the clear viewing window for the tape deck, and here and there you'll see other little scuffs, although this thing is in wonderful condition for its age. THREE ORIGINAL SMALL SIMPSON METERS FROM A VINTAGE NEVE 8058 RECORDING CONSOLE
These meters are from a vintage Neve 8058 desk and were originally used as buss and compression meters. Two of these have some glue residue on the fronts from where a number tag was removed. The other is clean. These are tested and working well and are made by Simpson(either UK or Canada) you can tell because the face plates are white(like all Neve meters) the ones made in the US have a more yellow face plate.
