My Brother Norm W1CIX became a Silent Key last year. And this is one of his last home brew projects. He was a Ham for over 55 years, and spent the whole period on 6M almost exclusively. And with strictly home built gear. He was fond of these crystal controlled converters, using a tunable IF, usually 7-11 Mhz, and usually a Command Set for the receiver/ IF. This one( as I have reverse deduced) uses a 6AB4 RF Amp, another as converter, another as First IF, 6J6 oscillator/ buffer, and an unreadable tube?S5 as 2nd IF. Power panel on rear deck for heater/ DC plate supply. Missing the crystal but I suspect that it needs one for 43.000 Mhz.

The first one is a Norwood Director Exposure meter Produced by Brockway in 1955. This item comes with the original box. Instruction manual ASA Indexes, and the original guarantee card. It also comes with original additional photodisk acessories for lighting contrast control and brightness range control. This is model# 1450. The second meter is done by General Electric. It is a model 213 Light meter. This item also determines light exposure and even has a switch that amplifies the reading by 10 for extreme situations. TWO VINTAGE LIGHT METERS FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS OR COLLECTORS
TWO VINTAGE LIGHT METERS#1 is a Tower meter in leather case. Inscription reads“Tower Movie Meter” and has a“Tower” symbol. The needle is moving but I can’t guarantee that it works because I know nothing about light meters. Measures 1 ½ x 1 ¾ inches and is ¾ inch wide. Comes in leather case. The flap on the case has torn off but it’s still there and snapped. There’s a 25 inch cord attached to the case. 2 is an Adams brand. Has two movable metal dials. Measures 2 ¼ x 1 ¾ inches. It’s about ¾ inch wide. Seems to work. The needles moves freely. There is a small crack in the glass which doesn't seem to effect the movement. As I mentioned. I am not familiar with light meters, so I cannot guarantee that they are in perfect working condition. I thought they would be a nice gift for a collector of photographic equipment

We never had the keys for them and they have been unlocked since we had them(no keys) One parking meter has a thick paper inside that shows 1-Dime 30 min, 2-Dimes 60 Min. up to 4 dimes you can use or 2 hours, and it is a little wrinkled i would say from moisture. The other one is missing that thick paper. In picture 8 you can see the back of one of the meters, it looks like it may have been hit or dropped, we purchased it that way. The mechanism comes out as you see in picture 4, 5, 6, 7 and you can see 1 is a little sun faded. Before listing i put 1 dime in each, turned the winder on each and they are both working. You are bidding on a vintage art deco mantle clock made by British Electric Meters. Ltd. and probably dating from the 1930’s. The rear of the motor housing reads“British Electric Meters. Ltd. London and Bangor North Wales Alternating current 200/250 volts 50 ~” The clock sits on a stepped base(which I believe is bronze. But it might be brass. The clock is 7 ¾” high; the glass clock face has a diameter of 6 ½” There is a very slight pinkish hue to the glass. The metal portions of the clock are free of chips and scratches. The glass is free of scratches. Chips and cracks. As the attached photos show, there is some slight flaking at the bottom portion of mirror face, but it doesn’t significantly detract from the elegance of this piece. The mirrored dome face of the clock is surrounded by a bronze(brass) art deco ring(bezel) overlay. ... moreInto which are cut the numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 at the four points of the compass. These exposure meters belonged to my grandfather(who has passed away) We are not sure if he used them(he was a photographer from age 20) or if they were part of his extensive collection of vintage photographic accessories. We do not know much about these exposure meters or how to test them and will do our best to describe their condition. All 6 of these exposure meters are being sold in"AS IS" condition. Included in this auction are the following; 1 WESTON PHOTRONIC EXPOSURE METER MODEL 650 NO. 5462050 with strap in leather case and information/advertising pamphlet. This exposure meter has a Bakelite housing which shows age appropriate wear. The back piece/plate that reads. EMULSION SPEEDS" has ... more2 screws missing and there is a very minor crack where you attach the strap. The red meter needle is responsive when the meter is pointed to the scene being photographed an the light. Not sure of the accuracy. The zippered leather case shows wear on the bottom and has light scratch markings on the outside of the case and the black strap has 3 knots. The case has 2 slits for attaching to a strap on a camera case. This light meter. Leather case and pamphlet are in good condition for its age. 1 Weston Master II UNIVERSAL EXPOSURE METER Model 735 No. 5043663 with strap and is Made in U.S.A. This exposure meter has a Bakelite housing that shows age appropriate wear. I am not sure how to operate this particular meter so I cannot say if it is in working order or not. The red meter needle does move a bit when the back of the meter is aimed at light. There is no case for this meter. 1 SEKONIC MICRO-LEADER Exposure Meter NO. 845197 in a zippered leather case- Made in Japan. This meter has a Bakelite and metal housing and operates on batteries- WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED. This meter has not been tested and there is no strap for this meter.
