I put a nickle in the complete looking one and the time went to one hour, but did not tick down. The other side is missing its back plate- not sure if its's missing anything else. 3 vintage scuba diving decompression meters
I got these decompression meters at an estate sale and have never personally used them. I've never tested them so I'm selling them as untested for parts or not working. The Barakuda one has chunks of stuff inside that move around when I move the meter so this one will need to be cleaned out. They're dirty and could use a good cleaning. I have up for auction Two Vintage GM Skan Light Meters that are made slightly different from each other. Plus One Weston Model 853. Serial# 59440 is on the Skan with the strap and Serial# 89175 is on the other Skan. I can find no number on the Weston. All three meters are clean and show very little wear. The Skan meters are from GM Laboratories in Chicago and the Weston has Newark NJ on it. The pointers on all three meters move freely. Two Vintage Photographic Light Meters Sekonic Auto-Leader Model 38 Made in Japan General Electric Type DW-68 Two collectable vintage Photographic Light Meters. Both are selenium-cell meters. selenium-cell light meters do not use batteries. Selenium produces a small current in response to light like a solar cell.Selenium cells do eventually die- but many light meters manufacturered in the 50’s and 60’s are still working fine) These both respond to light but I guess you will need to test them(i.e. use them) if you are concerned with accurate readings.The Sekonic was supposed to be one of the most accurate and easiest to use.In use. In very bright light, you leave the“door” at the top covered or closed(a small slit lets light in. In moderate light, you open the"door" to gather more light. In difficult lighting, you use a built- in"booster" ... morefound on the back of the meter. The GE meter was probably made in the 1950s(in 1948 they switched to ASA dials) It has an ASA dial that reads from 1.2 to 800. This meters reflective light with the cover closed, also with cover open and incident light with the top half removed. The meter reads in foot candles from 0 to 70 footcandles(the dial above converts to the proper f/ stop(f1 to f45) and shutter speeds(120 sec- 1/800 sec) It comes with a leather case with a belt loop in good condition. This lot offers the two old sphygmomanometers shown in the photos. Both were made in Japan. The top unit in the photo has a square meter box. This one has the makers name: Selsi" The one has a built in stethoscope. The rubber ball needed to pump up the pressure has gotten stiff and is no longer usable. The lower unit. Home brew low power final tank assembly covering 160- 10 meter without 15 meters. Suitable for a 25 to 40 watt or so output transmitter Will need a bit of TLC such as gluing a coil support to assembly etc. No schematic but easily sketched as wiring is not complicated. Hi.Up for grabs is this rare scientific pyrometer by the Cambridge co. I believe this company started in the mid 1800s. Horace Darwin who was the youngest son of Charles darwin. Part owned the company, who made scientific measuring meters,this particular pyrometer apparently was still available to buy in the 1960s. This meter is in excellent working condition.Actually it looks as new,made of cast iron I think,pretty heavy,as they use to make things to last These are the original photos of the pyrometer so please have a good look at the photos for the physical condition of the item.Thanks
