Update June 11th: I will split this lot up and sell all of the vacuum tubes separately as its own lot at a reduced price. I realize that not everyone will need all of the test equipment and all the parts and extras. So send me a message prior to starting the transaction and if we are in agreement I will accept the first offer of $7000. For that price you will get all 65 boxes full of an estimated 25.000-35,000 tubes and all of the brand new empty tube boxes only. For that price you will not get the tube testers, any parts, amplifiers, or any other items that are not vacuum tubes. They will still need to be picked up locally. But that will save you $4000 off the asking price. That will bring the cost per tube down to about 28 cents each which will leave even more room for potential profits. Asking $11,000 for everything, that's less than 45 cents a tube. Lots of room there to make a lot of money on the tubes alone. Tubes in this lot sell for $1-$10 a piece on average or more for some of the rarer or more desirable types. This is for local pickup only. There is no way to ship this much stuff. There is several thousand pounds of stuff all boxed and ready to be picked up. There is far too much stuff to list or photograph everything. There is an estimated 25.000 to 35,000 vacuum tubes. I have tested quite a few of them, but there are thousands of untested tubes. I have neither the time or patience to hand count or test every single tube. I would say there is about 4.000 new old stock tubes. VINTAGE VOLT/AMP & OHM METERS YEW ELECTRONIC TEST EQUIPMENT JAPAN&BUFFALO NICKEL
VINTAGE YEW JAPANESE ELECTRONIC TEST EQUIPMENT METERS I have not been able to determine an exact date for these pieces. But they appear to be mid century and possibly WWII era but again I can not confirm that. They were made by YEW(Yokogawa Electric Works) in Japan and the Volt/Amp meter has Japanese characters on the meter face. For the Volt/Amp meter. The meter movement is metal/glass and the base is made of a plastic or celluloid material. I did touch a battery to it and the amp meter portion will move the needle and appears to be functioning, but I did not get the volt meter section to work. It may be I did not connect it correctly or it needs a little tinkering to it but the meter movement itself appears to be in good condition. It has a model no. 31 written on it and measures 4.5" x 4.5" and weighs about 1 pound. For the Ohmmeter. ... moreI do not have a way to test it as ohmmeters require batteries and there are some leads inside the unit for connection a battery but I have no idea of what kind. It looks to be made of solid brass or copper and is a heavy piece. The meter movement looks good and is not frozen and there are two screw terminals at the bottom. The meter face says it is model 125 and it measures about 6" long and about 2.5" wide and weighs well over 1 pound. This is a Vector test adapter kit# T-789. It consists of three tube adapters for 8 pin(octal) 9 pin, and 7 pin tubes and sockets. There is also a test lead in the kit, plus an extra 8 pin octal adapter. Using these adapters allows you to do an in-circuit test of a tube by elevating it off the chassis, and providing a test point for each pin. This is a must-have for servicing tube gear. It makes the job much easier than having to reach a crowded solder terminal of a tube socket on the underside, or inside of a chassis.
