Up for auction is TV-7/U tube tester. Included is a tube data booklet. And the pin straighteners. This unit is being sold as-is. For parts or repair. The outer case is from a base TV-7/U unit. While the tag says it is a TV-7D/U, this is not correct, as the tester does not have the"F" scale which is unique to TV-7D/U units. I attempted to test a 12AX7 with this unit, and found that the filament would not fire. The line adjustment does work. I did not troubleshot the problem any further than this. Inside. It looks pretty clean and original(at least to my eye, which is no expert on TV-7 testers) This is a good parts unit or fixer-upper for a qualified technician. I tried installing a hard drive and found that it was readily recognized and XP could be loaded completely, but the unit would not complete a boot into windows and entered a boot loop with a blue screen flash. TWO macbook laptops 13" for repair quick sale
Selling these for a friend. Who knows less about them than I do. This is what I know: I was told they both work excellent, but one has problems with the power source. I tried them both, and one came on quickly smoothly, but the other did not. The one that came on was very touchy at the magnetic connector, meaning it lost connection fairly easily. I left it on for 10 min or so, and the battery did not charge. They appear to be in good shape. No discs. Wish I had time to tinker, but I don't. Ask questions, I'll answer as I can. No returns.
