Rare - DirecTv HR21-200 HD DVR Pro Series Receiver - HiDef Video Recorder
Up for auction is an extremely rare DirecTV HR21-200 Professional High Definition DVR. This beautiful all aluminum chassis unit was sold in limited numbers for installation in commercial environments. Due to the cosmetic appearance alone. Not to mention the built-in ability to be 19-inch rack mounted, I have held onto this unit as long as I possibly could and have not wanted to give it up for any reason. Unfortunately it recently has developed the all so common power supply issue and I have decided to move to a different option. For this reason. And this reason only this receiver is being sold as-is with no warranty, implied or offered and was an owner, no leased receiver, so you will have no issues getting it activated. It was used and constantly connected to the internet through March 30, 2013 and has the most recent DirecTV software which ... moreis the same in all HD DVR receivers. Keep in mind that this unit does need some servicing. There are many individuals shops and others who can do so, or better yet if you are a brave soul, and own the equipment you could potentially transplant the heart of a newer HR25 or similar receiver into this chassis. In addition, I believe It has been upgraded with a 1 Terrabyte Western Digital HDD so has increased recording capacity over the original. This unit is being sold for parts. Repair and as-is. You will get this beautiful receiver, original cables, remote and connectors, as well as the power cable. As with all electronic devices I sell.
