Thule LB58 58'' Square Load Bar (only 1)
This is a single Thule 58' square load bar. It is in used condition with a small bend in the bar and minor scratches in the plastic coating. One of the pictures features a straight metal rod next to the bar so you can see the bend. The bar doesn't appear to be twisted. Just bent in the one direction. It is straight for about the first 46-48' so if you were looking to cut down a bar to that length it would be perfect. It doesn't seem to be a huge bend, so it likely wouldn't affect most installations and could possibly be bent back. Doesn't seem to have affected the bar structurally, might just be more difficult to get the alignment right. There may be a very tiny amount of rust or corrosion inside the bar, but it is just cosmetic and would be covered by end caps. 1908 Africa Nyasaland Nyanja Woman Huge Load Sticks on Head Photo Lantern Slide
This is a photographic glass magic lantern slide. Black and white, labeled, Nyanja Woman Nyasaland, 1908. The Nyanja is one of the ethnic groups of Nyasaland. Nyasaland, or the Nyasaland Protectorate, was a British protectorate located in Africa, which was established in 1907 when the former British Central Africa Protectorate changed its name. Between 1953 and 1963, Nyasaland was part of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. After the Federation was dissolved, Nyasaland became independent from Britain on 6 July 1964 and was renamed Malawi. Magic Lantern Slides are one of the best untapped resources for antique photographs there are. Slides were usually discarded after a relatively short period of use so are difficult to find.
