Here is a very old vintage(1930's-40's? General Electric Foot Candle Light Meter. They made a few different models of these. This one is Color and Angle corrected so it can measure light through transmission of glass. It can measure on a horizontal. Vertical or oblique plane. This model is C/C"Color/Cosine Corrected so in affect it measures wide angles and RESPONDS TO LIGHT IN THE SAME MANNER AS THE HUMAN EYE DOES! It reads from 0 to 350 Foot Candles. I have the original instructions with it also. The meter works perfectly. The glass/prism is in great with no chips or breaks on it. The meter returns to zero and the zero reset works as it should. There are no engravings on it. This one probably should be in a museum some where. These are hard to find not all beat up from age, use and environmental damage. Hi. This is a aged device that has been sitting around for a while. Pulled it out and tried to see if it works. The needle did move between the low setting when in the dark and a higher setting when in the sun. Accurecy is in question because of age. There is a break in the plastic outside framework that is noticeable and the fading that comes with time. Have no manuals or case for the item, This woud be a great little item for someone who wants to try some of the hi tech tools from the 50,s and 60,s
