General Electric Kilo Watt Hour Meter Utility
This is a General Electric G.E. Electric Meter. This type uses the unusual rolling digits to display the reading like an odometer in an older car. Made in U S A. Would be a good meter for a collector but it can certainly be put into service also. This meter has the terminals built in the housing to connect the wires. Unlike the new kind with blades on the back which require an additional enclosure to use. This meter was reset to all zeros by my local electric utility company and is still sealed with their lead tag/seal. This is a solid running unit and can be depended upon for years to come. It would be perfect for making a lamp or metering a shop or guest house. Charging someone for their share, or whatever. It has a hanger on the back for different mounting configurations. I don't know much about theses two lamps.Here's what I know. They are both 3 way lights. The meter moves when turned on. They don't match but they could very easily. Also the one lamp has got the plate under the meter missing. I'm sure if you looked around you could find one.I would imagine that meters from all over the country have this same plate. And there were millions of them. I don't know where to look to find out how old they are, but the latest patent# on both is 1,727,509.

This listing is for a antique wire meter by Minneapolis Electric and Construction Co. Minnesota. It appears in good working condition as spinning the wheels through which wire would be fed turns all three dials. The guide bracket that guides the wire to the measuring wheels is worn well out of round and the guide after the measuring wheels is also worn. But not nearly so much. Here I have a vintage Westinghouse single phase Type CA 3 wire 240 V USA electric meter that is complete with glass globe! Overall great looking condition with no breaks to outside or glass! It is serial#20 379-296 Type CA S.976661 15 Amp 240 Volts. No rust to metal but slight wear to paint on the line load cover. Nothing bad at all! It is as found so I do not know if it will work or if repair will be needed but it would be a gret parts meter if anything else! The inside looks good and clean and complete. The size is 9" long with the hanging latch on top included in the measurement. 5 3/4" tall from back to top of glass globe cover and 6 1/4" wide. Still very clear to read. Still has nice tight and strong snap on front of case! This appears to be a working electric eye. The red needle does move up and down in different types of lighting. The electric-eye measures 2-1/2" long. 2" wide and 1" deep. It does have some discoloration on the plastic outer shell as you can see in the photos. Great condition overall! Offering an antique Hoyt DC Switchboard Voltmeter. Marked 35 on faceplate and 99 on permanent magnet. Could be serial numbers. Marked“Patent applied for” on upper ring of meter face. Has 7 terminals on top of meter to connect up to 6 different voltage sources for measurement. The lever at the bottom of meter is a continuous bar that connects one of the top terminals to the voltmeter for indication. The 7 selection tabs on the bottom of the meter are numbered left-to-right from 0 to 6, which are connected right-to-left to the terminal that is 180 degree opposite(e.g. leftmost bottom selection 0 to rightmost upper terminal) All common terminal connections(e.g. negative DC voltage) are made at the rightmost upper terminal and each of the six positive connections are made at any of the terminals to the left of the rightmost connection. Weston Electrical Electric Volt meter Model 45 vintage antique Pat Nov. 8 1888
Here is a real old vintage meter. It was made by Weston Electric in Newark NJ. USA. The pat. date is Nov.8 1888. For as old as it is it is in fairly good shape. I don't know if you would call the face brass or not. It is a heavy metal like brass but has more of a chrome color to it with may be a little brass in it.One of the little rubber feet is missing for when you set it up the one way. This would make a good display piece.It is not very often you find them as old as this.The meter goes to 140 volt. It can read positive or negative. I put 14 volts to it and the needle did move. The I reversed the polarity and the needle moved the other way. I believe it is in working order.I think the case is oak. it all most looks like Tiger Oak. Feel free to email questions or comments.

Here's just a dandy advertising piece and when you first glance at it you think mini electric meter.But the details are just painted on the face it's really a paperweight desk thermometer just like a real meter except in miniature. The rear right Bakelite corner is chipped off and the silver metal housing could use a new coat of paint to dress it up a bit if you like. It stands 4" tall and 2 1/2" wide across the front glass and 3 3/8" wide across the Bakelite base.
