I picked this up at a local estate auction so it is untested but appears to be in very good condition. Runs in the original box with instructions and a Weston bag. Everything you see pictured. To be honest I'm not quite sure how to test it to see if it works but I can tell you that the wheel on the front moves freely and the needle does bounce a little bit when you rocked it in your hand. It appears to have been well taken care of and I'm like 98% sure it probably works fine I just hate saying that without knowing 100% For peace of mind in bidding always remember that I do except returns and am easy to work with should you need to do that. The meter face measures 4-1/4" wide x 4" high. There are two terminals marked"LAMP 6V" on the back. Along with the measuring terminals. Two lamps can be seen up inside the meter. NICE CASED JAPANESE NAVAL ELECTRIC TESTER METER
This is a Japanese Naval Electric Meter Tester in its original wooden box that dates from the Showa Era and was brought back as a War souvenir by an American G.I. The Meter glass has been broken along the way nevertheless. The needle continues to be sensitive and does have movement and the anchor marking remains clear upon the face. The wooden box is scuffed and the leather handle is missing otherwise remains nice and still wears the original maker's metal label just above the latch. Overall the Box measures 12 1/2 deep by 9 3/8 inches across by 5 3/4 tall. Weighs approximately 12 1/2 pounds. Thomson Recording Watt Meter General Electric Schenectady NY Patented 1890's.
For sale is a fairly rare Thomson Recording Watt Meter. This has a patent dates listed from 1890. 1891, 1893, 1894, in 1897. This is a type"M" Form"FN" Class 50 110. I know very little about this meter other than it is very old. It has what appears to be a copper or brass outershell, and the entire meter appears to be mounted on a brass or bronze base. There's no doubt that this meter has age to it. The overall unit measures approximately 8 inches wide by approximately 11 inches tall and approximately 9 inches deep. The entire unit weighs over 20 pounds. Measures approximately 9 inches wide by 9 inches deep approximately 10 inches tall. This meter, along with other meters that I currently have listed, was found on the shelf in an old workshop where it sat for many years. The guy who owned the workshop had this merely ... moreas decoration and I do not know how long he had on it. It was covered in dust and dirt when I had found it. The discoloration on the front was attributed to a label that he had placed on it designating what it was. The same discoloration is on the top of the outershell as well. I'm fairly sure that Elihu Thomson was the inventor of this item. In looking on the interior of the unit it appears to be intact and in decent shape, however I'm not sure what I'm looking at and could not tell you if any parts are missing. I have not been able to find any equivalent unit to this for sale on eBay or anywhere available on the Internet. For sale is a vintage/antique single phase want hourmeter from general electric. This is a 5 V. 2 wire, type I– 14, 60 cycles meter. I know little about this meter other than it was found with other what our meters on the shelf of an old workshop. And it sat there for decoration for many many years. I'm guessing this is from right around 1915 time. The inside looks very clean and is in good overall condition.
