I did not have any problems doing this and once I turned the compressor on, I could hear it power on and begin to cool the machine down. I have no way to test if it actually made ice in the water bath though. Also, I don’t have any juice containers to use in the machine and so was not able to see if it would actually dispense. Also, I attempted to RINSE the machine per the instructions. I connected a hot water line, switched the selector to Rinse, and pressed one of the buttons on the front, but nothing happened. That is the extent of the testing and so I would assume since I was not able to get the machine to rinse, that it needs some type of repair, or may be good just for parts. So I don't know too much about it, but when I plugged it in it was starting to get cold. Comes with cup catch tray, but the plastic liner is broke, but it still fits inside sturdy. Comes with the original cleaning bucket, and all hoses. The inside hoses and pieces need a good cleaning though. There is NO key to the flushing system.
