Linesman's Pole/Tree climbing equipment. It has had a lot of use. But is very heavy duty and has lots of life left. The wide padded belt has a Stringer name plate and a date of 1/77. The size I believe adjusts out to a 42/44. I am a 36/38 and there are four holes remaining. Belt has a leather pliers pouch attached and four attached leather loops for tools/equipment. Also there are four removable leather loops which snap to small metal rings on the belt. The lanyard is Buckingham and a date of 1988. Adjusts from 4 to 6-1/2 feet. Very heavy duty and metal re-enforced. The gaffs are Bashlin. No Reserve Thanks

I am selling a pair of Gecko Aluminum Spurs with"American Short Gaffs. I bought these from Honey Brothers in the U.K. These are identical to the ones sold by Sherrill except the fiberglass pad reinforcement is black instead of red. I used them to climb a birch and an oak and they are in excellent condition. I never walked on any hard surfaces so the aluminum is in excellent condition. Nice set of vintage climbing equipment. Buckingham Manufacturing Company Bell System Belt is leather with heavy duty buckle and rings for tree/ pole strap. Has built in tool holders. Metal reinforcement on belt has what appears to be brass fasteners. The backside of the buckle is imprinted with what appears to say Bell System and some other worn lettering- see photos. On the back of the belt is a brass tag that has some numbers and Buckingham. Tree/ Pole strap is leather with heavy duty snap hooks that snap onto rings on belt. Adjustable with heavy duty buckle. Spikes are heavy metal with leather padded pieces at the top. Points are sharp. Metal has signs of use with some minor twist in the metal- see photos. On the back of one of the spikes it says. exc Buckingham adj Pole OR Tree Climbing Spikes w/Klein Pads(Ga Power Lineman) Fresh estate find. Owner was a Georgia Power lineman. I have other gear from his estate listed. I don't see the mark on the spikes but I'm certain these are Buckingham. Adjustable heights and replaceable spikes and the frame is offset around the bottom of the foot. The spikes are fine and don't need replacement. Big advantage of this model is you can switch out the spikes for longer tree spikes. I'm not a lineman. I don't climb"poles" very often and the longer"tree" spikes are an absolute necessity(for trees, for me at least) The pads are in excellent condition and marked"Klein" and also"8210" for the model. This style has fiber straps upper and lower. I only wiped them down. They look dirty and tired ... morebut they are strong and in excellent condition and will be as pretty as you'd like after a good scrub and conditioning. 8 good photos to super-size and scrutinize so you'll be absolutely assured of the quality and condition. I have also listed from his estate: his Bashlin Climbing belt(with some additional gear) a different pair of padded pole spikes than from this listing; and a pair of Klein cable pullers.
