Vintage Toy Model Fire-Truck Wood Metal Antique Fire-man Car Pull Ladder
Up for auction is a toy/model vintage fire truck. I found thus really cool piece at an estate sale here in NY. It came in pieces like you see in photos. The body of the truck is solid over all some paint flakes but sturdy. I think the body is made of fiberglass or a plastic resin. Other than a small ladder I'm not sure what else is missing! The 4 wheels are there! the front grill is there! the big ladder is there. The only hardware I have are 3 of the 4 nuts for wheels so you'll have to dig up a 4th. Its about 2 feet in over all length. My original plan was to repaint it and remove ladders and turn it into an old pickup. A little time and few nuts and bolts and you got yourself a really great conversation piece! Thanks for looking! Up For Auction! Great Yellowstone Park Fire Dept Sign. Here is a rare one! This wooden sign measures 38" by 14 1/4" by 3/4" and is made of two boards. Jointed and held together by two 13 1/2" by 2 1/4" piece of wood on the back. The words FIRE TRUCK NO PARKING are carved into the wood and this sign was made to stand the tests of time! I got this sign at a locale estate sale along with some others from the park. The gentleman had a relative that worked in the sign shop for the park and apparently he brought some work home with him! WESTERN ELECTRIC LINEMANS HAND SET ANTIQUE 1903 WOOD CASED FIRE ALARM
This is a Western Electric plated wood cased lineman's hand test set. Dated 1903. The wood case is 13 x 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, in good condition, the only flaw I see is a nail poking out on the front right lower corner. The hinges and clasp are plated as well. There are three pieces of glass and some old celluloid in the case. The hand set is in good condition, heavily built, someone was proud of this instrument. Please see the pictures. The person I got this from swears it was used by a fire alarm lineman, I don't know. Whatever its history it is a neat piece. Antique Fire Bucket 1886 United Indurated Fibre Co. Large Pulp Wood Bucket
Up for Auction is this very nice Large Pulp Compressed Wood Fire Bucket Manufactured by United Indurated Fibre Co. of Lockport NY in 1886. This Antique Fire Bucket appears to be approx. 10 Gallons measuring 21 1/2" Tall x 11 1/2" at the Opening. Bucket is stamped with United Indurated Fibre Co. Patents ranging from 1883 to 1886. The Company was in business the last quarter of the 19th Century and was acquired by another Company in 1914. This type of Compressed Pulp Wood Product was commonly used in the days prior to metal fabrication. Very few survived in this wonderful condition. The Metal Rings and Metal Bail Handle are not present. The Rings you see pictured have been painted on to the exterior of the Bucket where the Original Rings once were. The Bucket does have natural crazing of the finish. But it only adds to the Primitive ... morelook of this Piece. Interior still has the shiny Varnish of the Original Manufacture Design. No Holes. No Cracks. It does have a chip on the Top Lip of the Bucket approx. 2" Long. The Bucket was acquired at an Estate Sale where it was cleverly being used as an Umbrella Holder or Can. It has a couple of Latex Paint spots in one area and a small light scuff or two but otherwise it is in amazing condition for a 127 yr. old Vessel. Very hard to find! I am guessing these are from the early 1900's Pair of ladders for the side of a vintage fire truck older as newer toys have metal I believe they were for a cast iron truck maybe Hubley or Buddy L 11 3/4" length 1 1/4" wide wooden ladders with original yellow paint the rungs are metal and retain some of the yellow paint 9 rungs on each ladder condition: there in a break in the one at the rung holes(I have included a picture) could probably be repaired with glue but will leave that up to the new owner. The wood seems to be strong a big plus and ladder is straight when pressed together at break a lot of toy fire trucks are missing the ladders so these are a great find! free shipping

Collectible Leather Fire Bucket Sturdy Leather. Type of bucket used by Fire fighters in the late 1600s to the early 1800s. Features a picture of an antique Fire Engine. Papeete. I believe this was made in the 1960s. Very sturdy leather. Interior is a brass finished metal. Probably doubles as an Ice Bucket. Lid is a Cherry colored wood with an Oil finish. Brass Eagle knob. Handle is secured by Heavy brass rings. Bottom has a stamp or decal that is partially worn. Approximate Dimensions: Approx. 13" tall and with handle up it is about 20" tall. At the top is is about 8" Diameter. Great collectible for Fire Fighters. Overall good shape. Stitching is secure and in good shape. Please note: there are areas of the leather that show some wear. Primitive Antique Fire Alarm Bell Wood Brass & Cast Iron PAT APPLIED FOR 1900s
This primitive antique fire alarm bell is mounted on a wooden base and over all it is about 12" long and the brass bell itself is 6" in diameter x 1 1/2" deep. The mount for the bell and the armature for the electromagnetic coils is formed out of a single piece of cast iron and the clapper part is made of iron. Copper and brass. You can see there are channels cut into the wood in back to contain and protect the power wires leading to the coils and the clapper from the electrodes on the front side. The wooden base has"Pat. Applied For" stamped into the wood on the front below the apparatus and between the electrodes. The device is worn and rusty with a patina of age but I can see no reason why it wouldn't work. With that 6" brass bell I bet it would be very loud! Quite old. My best guess as to age is Ca. 1900s-1910s. ... moreVery unusual! It works and as far as I can see the leather has one rips/ tear. I was told that this bellows was from the 1930's or earlier. I really have no idea how old it is. And can make no guarantee. Here is an A.L. W. creek chub pikie in rainbow fire color. This lure has a typical creek chub lip. But has surface rigging and the color is a little bit different from a typical creek chub in rainbow fire. It also has painted eyes. This lure is in pretty good shape, with very minor nicks and no paint loss or age lines. The only issue with this bait is the fact that its left eye seems to be smudged. Hand polished and lacquered pieces that ranged from candlesticks and plates to beautiful boxes such as this. It is a layer of brass covering the wood box. There are two different scenes on this box. A group of gents at a bar being served drinks and a group of gents gathered together at a table. The box is a shiny brass with some dark colors in the pits of the brass. Neat box in beautiful shape! Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This wonderful antique brass repousse old English Pub Scene trunk or firebox. Will be a lovely accent for your decor. This hinged top box was created in the first half of the 1900's. It is constructed of wood and covered with the detailed brass repousse with the pub scene on the front and top. In the scene a group has gathered just outside the pub. Trees line the brick building. A woman raises a glass with four adults seated at a table. A chid plays on the ground in the foreground. Another child hides behind the woman's skirt. A floral& foliage motif in repousse is on each end. Antique hand painted floral wood folding screen with three hinged panels. Has a brass plate on bottom marked"No. 2860 F.B.M. Co. Hoboken, N.J" This stands for Ferguson Bros Manufacturing company, which was begun in the late 19th century and merged with another company and changed names in 1953. They billed themselves as manufacturers of"furniture novelties" and listed some of their products as"folding screens, folding tables, cedar chests. etc. I believe this folding screen dates to the turn of the century and may have been used as a summer screen in front of a fireplace to make it decorative when not in use. The center panel has two legs- the side panels do not have legs. The brass hinges, which I believe may be the originals, allow the side panels to fold either behind the main screeen, or fold in front of the main ... morepanel. I believe the screws are replacements of the original ones. I have given one photo showing the combination of screws which replace the original hardware(see photo 11) Measurements: to the highest point it is 32" high.the middle panel is 18" wide. And the two flanking panels are each 9" wide. The total width with side panels open is 36 3/4" Condition(on a scale of poor. Fair, good, very good, excellent: Very Good. This is a nice wood& leather billows. Measures 15" long, 6 1/2" wide, probably considered a medium sized billows? Works well, brown stained wood with leather sides& tip with nice brass tacks. I do not know the age and I find no brand on this item. Nice brass tip. I found this in the attic when be bought our home awhile back. We've never used it but it is showing some minor wear around the edges where the stain is thin with a few tiny dings& nicks. Definitely has some character.
