This is a good useable body harness made by DBI SALA. If you research the DBI SALA website you will find similar products in tower climbing. However the closest thing to this product I could find is in the FALL PROTECTION PRODUCTS for IRON WORKERS section. It sells new for $343.23. It has the Vest style back D-ring, sewn-in hip pad/belt w/side D-rings, reinforced seat strap, tongue buckle legs. Size XL. While this item is still in very useful condition the item is used, has a few minor snags and one minor flaw that was repaired on the cosmetic plastic part in photo 4(see Photos) Photo 1 shows the entire harness. Photo 2 shows the brand name. Photo 3 shows the size(XL) ... morePhoto 4 shows the repair made to the plastic. Photo 5 shows the snag/puncture mark on the hip pad. This harness kept a friend of mine alive while climbing dangerous towers on an oil rig and it is still in useable condition but it is dirty and could use a good cleaning. I came across an old Bell Systems Tool bag. I'm parting out the items from inside it. These are the Braces with the spikes on the heel to help the Lineman climb the pole. The Leather is Imprinted- Bell System B Steel Brace is stamped- Bell System F. Buckingham 1-77. WE 14724 These are from 1977. Great condition! The straps that wrap around the boot are worn. I got these from the estate of a guy that worked on the Rock Island railroad. I would assume they were for doing repair work on the telegraph lines that ran along the track. Leather is old and dry. Neetsfoot oil or other good shoe oil would make them a lot nicer. Old vintage equipment that I am sure was fine when it was retired. But I would not sell it for use and consider it a collector's item only out of safety concerns. I would have loved to had this setup when I was a kid!

The leather is in great shape with no cracks. Rips, or tears and everything looks like new. The leather belt in the last picture has the canvas belt that ... moregoes around the tree. The canvas belt has no marks on it. But the leather is marked"Belt. LC-23-E Size:20 R.H. Burke Co. 01-H-1771-63 B-259" It appears to be in bad condition at first glance. But after looking at it closer, it looks like it hasn't ever been worn because there are no marks or stress cracks in the belt where a buckle would have been bearing down on the leather. It just looks like it has been in storage or in someone's closet for a long time. But the leather could be cleaned up and would be in great shape. There are no holes, tears, or rips anywhere in the leather or canvas. I have no idea if it is safe to climb with these or not. I put them on one time and went outside to climb a tree. You are bidding on a pair of very old Bell Telephone Systems very heavy cast iron pole or tree climbing spikes with leather straps and felt cushioning that I believe are circa 1930-1940's vintange. The spikes are marked Bell System I-47 Buckingham Mfg. 17 in. They also are marked WF20833. They have heavy leather pads with felt lining which rest against your leg and are complete with the leather straps to strap them to your leg. This is a great collectible for the telephone or utilities collector. I am not an expert in this so describe them as best I can. For sale is a pair of Klein and Sons vintage tree or telephone pole climbing gaffe spikes. The material is iron and leather. I can see the loco. M. Klein and Sons on the gaffe itself. I know the company is about 150 years old and is in Illinois. There is rust on the metal and the leather is showing its age. On one of the straps, a small leather part is missing. I would say OK condition considering the age.

It looks like they shorten 21/2" Spikes are 1 3/4" long on inner measurement& 3 inches end to point. They are used with light surface rust. Some wear on leather, straps look good. Up for sale are these Bashlin Industries pole climbing equipment.The Bashlin leather climbing belt is a size D24 is in good used condition with no loose or cut threading.No tears-rips or cuts in the leather,riveting is all good with no loose or broken ones or any other defects.It does have some small red stain marks on one of the leather tool loops and surrounding area(pictured) The Bashlin 53N- 2HL pole strap is 6 1/2 ft and is a 6 ply neoprene coated nylon and in good used condition with no tear rips or any defects.The Bashlin aluminum alloy climbers 105-BC and are adjustable to 18" and have a replaceable gaff.These are in good condition with some very light fraying on the straps and is missing one of the gaff covers.If you have any questions about these items please ask me.I will answer as good as I can.Winner to pay $28.00 for shipping ... morecost.Returns only if item not as described.Winner to pay or contact me within two days after sale.I will leave feedback when buyer lets me know they have received item.

Selling a used set of Buckingham climbing spikes. Has some surface rust on it as you can see. The buckle for one of the lower straps is missing. And the lower straps on the other are beat up.
