This is a vintage pair of Bell System B made by A.E. Burgess Lea Co. 4-79 for Bell leather and steel climbing spikes. Overall, the spikes are in great condition. The leather straps that secure the harness to the spikes is suffering dry rot and would likely do well to be replaced for use. The gaff spikes are sharp and show little use. These were from a neighbor who has since retired, and they do show wear from use. Fully functional currently, they could use some TLC. This was my Dads Lineman spikes. Belt, safety strap. They have been in a barn for 14 years. And havent been use or tested for that long. The belt and the safety strap was in the original plastic bags with some holes in the bags. So there is a little bit of corrosion on the metal but can be cleaned off. The Blue/white ajustable hooks are Klein hooks with buckingham model 3500 top padded nylon w/ Velcro straps. The second set are Buckingham model 3922 leather adjustable the spike looks larger than the fist set maybe for trees? The belt is a Miller 8435 nylon with a leather end. The safety strap is a Buckingham 3660. I have 2 extra hook straps and a extra Klein leather top part for a hook. Pole or Tree CLIMBING SPIKES SPURS GAFFS and Heavy CLIMBING SAFETY BELT
Here is a climbing setup which includes the two leg spikes and the heavy climbing belt. It looks like a Klein belt but I cannot find any mark on the equipment. The belt looks very good. It does not appear to have had a lot of use. The spikes are in great shape, again they do not appear to have had a lot of use. Some of the straps on the spikes appear to have some mold on them. They should be tested, and oiled as they appear stiff, but I think they will work fine. Please check out the pictures, and thank you for looking.

Vintage Bashlin pole climbing spikes and gear 2 belts tree climbing utilities
Up for sale we have a set of older Bashlin pole spikes. With a matching Bashlin belt, the blue green one is the Bashlin. Also there is a Atlas belt included, its the red and yellow belt, both belts look to be in very good condition. The leather straps on the spikes should be checked before using, as there showing some age, there not broken, just dirty and have some cracking on them. I'm not familiar with this type of equipment, so if there's anything you want to know about the gear ask and I will try to tell you. The spikes themselves look to be in good condition, they measure 17 1/2" from the top to the bottom of the foot rest. The spikes are stamped Grove City, PA. Any questions please ask, I will reply. Bashlin DB14 Aluminum Pole Climbing Gaffs Spikes & 105BC Angled C Pads
Bashlin Alcoa DB14 aluminum pole climbers with short gaffs. Rubberized nylon straps and 105BC Angled leather leather pads with rigid steel inserts and felt lining. These pads are very comfortable when on a pole for a long time. The gaffs/ spikes measure approx 1 7/8" The yellow gaff protectors are Baslin B1972G. They're quick and easy to take on and off the gaffs. These climbers are used. I bought them used several years a go, and only used them a few times. They've been stored in my garage. They're in good condition with some wear and scratches that would be typical for a pair of pole climbers that have been used. There is some light surface rust on the ankle strap buckles, loops, and on the gaffs. The leather loops on the ankle straps have some cracks. The rubberized nylon straps are OK, though. Antique M. KLEIN POLE CLIMBERS - CLIMBING SPIKES, Lineman, Telegraph Tool
OLD SPIKES- PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE PHOTOS- One pair of very old spikes in fair condition. Approximately 15 1/4 inches long. Marked: M. KLEIN. Not 100% certain what these are- always assumed they were climbing spikes. Though they are vastly different from anything used nowadays. To be used for pole climbing, they would have to be strapped to the outside of the calf instead of the inside, like modern climbers are. If anyone has any info, I'd love to learn about these. Hand forged. Simply marked M. KLEIN. Made as a right& left pair, with each spike angled slightly rearward. Guessing that this is one of Mathias Klein's early tools. Somewhat rough condition. Dark brown rusty patina. With moderate orange-peel pitting all over. Previous owner polished the M.KLEIN logo a bit. One of the spike tips was recently chipped in an unfortunate ... moreaccident by the clumsy current owner(see photos below) Straps are long gone. An interesting relic! Vintage pair of W.M. Bashlin Tree/Pole Climbing Gaffs. These gaffs have been used and they show signs of moderate to heavy use. The have rust. Scratches etc. and could use a good cleaning. size on gaffs reads: 14 3/4-18 1/2. On gaffs reads: WM Bashlin Bell System 1970. Please look at photos carefully and decide for yourself. I believe there is still a lot of use left in these gaffs.

Vintage Bell Systems Buckingham Lineman Tree/Pole Climbing Spikes Full Set
This is a nice old vintage set of Bell Systems/Buckingham tree/pole climbing spikes. With the belt, harness, and bag to carry it all in. The spikes themselves are Bell/Buckingham, the leather leg straps are A.E. Burgess, and I believe the belt and harness are Klein-Buhrke. They are definitely used. But in perfectly usable shape. The harness obviously has more wear than anything due to the nature of its job. The spikes are in good shape-nice and sharp.with the caps. The belt has a tag that reads: Bell Systems"F Belt" Size 24. I'm not sure what the size code means. But it is 51" from tip to tip and fits my appx. 38" waist with ease. When buckled, there are still 5 notches left in the belt/8 more inches of room. Bag is pretty dusty/dirty. As it has been sitting in my shop for years. I bought these from a guy years ago, ... morebut have since decided that I am far too fat and accident prone to tempt fate. Vintage 1945 W.H. Buckingham Lineman Gaffs / Hooks / Spikes - Pole Climbing
Vintage W. H. Buckingham Lineman Hooks 1945 For auction is a nice collectable set of L& R lineman hooks produced by the W.H. Buckingham Mfg. Co. of Binghamton. N.Y. The left& right hook are both labeled with 15 1/4 F. Not sure what that means and I can barely make out the 1/4 so I am kind of guessing on that part. Please see the photos and form your own opinion as to what that means. The foot straps are also embossed with Buckingham Condition: The steel parts have some light surface rust. The copper rivets all look good. Some leather shows signs of leather rot. This is worst on the little strap that holds on the one gaff shield. It is very fragile. I did clean the leather up some and put some leather conditioner on it. It remains still very dirty from years of storage, but remarkably flexible for leather that is 68 years old. This is a nice old set of vintage Buckingham hooks. The gaff shield is dated 1945. As I stated before there is only one of these. All other original straps. Rivets, and buckles are included.
