This model cuts around the outside of the can instead of having the knife that cuts on the inside this way the lid doesn't fall inside of the can& the lid can also be replaced back on the can. Also with this model the cutter never comes in contact with the contents in the can. There is some pitting on the bottom of the mounting bracket but this is on the bottom side& doesn't affect the appearance or operation of the can opener. Refer to picture#7. I am pleased to offer for your consideration. A Size No.1, commercial can opener and mounting bracket from EDLUND. The first thing I want to tell you about this can opener is, that I just don't know that much about it, so I will just tell you what I see. It measures 18 1/2 inches from the bottom of the shaft to the top of the handle. It appears to be fairly clean and with a a very shiny mounting bracket, so I'm not sure just how much use it's seen. The cranking handle is unbroken and the entire operation has a very tight(no wobble like worn gears or such) smooth motion to it. This can opener is marked EDLUND CO. INC. Burlington, VT. USA. Edlund Model 203 Commercial Grade 2 Speed Can Opener
Works perfectly. Runs strong and solid, and is in good condition, but does have a three minor cosmetic issues: 1) on the left top side of the handle is a crack, which doesn't go all the way through the handle and is not in jeopardy of getting worse or breaking apart unless it is dropped(again) on the handle, 2) there's a small ding in the notch that's cut out of the top for the handle shaft movement, and 3) the front bottom two corners the stainless steel body are dented in a little bit.
