For those not in the know. The HS series is the replacement for the 2000(and, I believe, 3000) series and is one of the newest slicer lineups on the market. The HS meets all the newest NSF 8 revisions and does it all with that Hobart quality you desire. From Hobart's website: Tough enough to make some manufacturers opt for easier certification routes. But on our new HS Series. You'll find NSF 8 revisions meant to deliver a slicer as well as it protects. In addition to sealed seams, compliant fasteners and removable parts for easy cleaning, you'll find four patented features for better operation. The HS Series comes with a ½-HP knife-drive motor. This is the HS6N model which makes it the replacement of the 2612. This means it's a manual slicer with the non-removable knife feature. Our HS6N has been cleaned. Refurbished, and tested. Since this is such a new slicer(built in 2013) obviously not much refurbishing needed to be done apart from a thorough cleaning, a blade sharpening, and a test run. VINTAGE 1960's HOBART MODEL 410 MEAT & CHEESE DELI SLICER 10" - EXCELLENT!
Up for your bidding consideration is this used vintage 1960's Hobart model 410 10" meat and cheese deli slicer. It is in excellent physical and operational condition and will bring many years of future service. It comes to you complete with a barely used blade sharpening attachment and the stones show minimal usage. I personally disassembled this unit and cleaned it from top to bottom(it was pretty grungy) Installed a new appliance cord, and tested its operation. The only flaw that I found was that the bottom blade guard has a small stress crack in it, but there are no missing pieces. The blade is in good shape but does show a bit of wear from previous usage and will need the edge touched up when received. I did not want to sharpen it to a fine edge for fear of injury during shipment. This is a perfect size slicer for that small ... moremom& pop deli or sandwich shop, or it would be great for the home. I bought this at auction and do not know its history. It runs quietly and everything operates smoothly. You can see the operation light glowing in picture 2. It does not come with the sharpener. The blade has a nick in it(see picture 11) I sliced an orange through it to test it out and it chopped that up without effort. I removed the bottom inspection plate to make sure I wasn't selling a gunked up unit and it is shockingly clean(see picture 7) The Goodyear belt and motor look almost new. Hobart 1612 Slicer Slicer runs but it leaks oil from the switch cover. The problem could be as simple as a gasket or something wrong in the gear box. I know nothing about this sort of equipment. The thickness adjuster is stuck but I don't see why. The meat tray is missing. Front legs are steel(No rubber caps) To heavy to ship usps(apx 85 lbs) packaged weight would be over 100lbs. This is the Blade Bolt for the Hobart Slicer. Also included with it is the hub assembly with the bearings and other parts including the brass gear on the end of the shaft. The aluminum hub assembly is broken as seen in the picture and I am shipping whole thing together to keep the parts together, Note, I am not selling the broken part, I am selling the bearings and blade bolt. It is in great condition, the slicer was taken out of service and parted because the hub was broken. This is the motor for the Hobart Slicer that was running seconds before it was taken apart. It is in great condition with no problems. The slicer was taken out of service and parted because the blade guard was broken. It is 110 volt and plugs into any outlet. Make sure yours is not three phase as this is a single phase motor.
