Edlund Commercial Can Opener Model S11 Restaurant Kitchen Equipment Stainless
This auction is for a used working Edlund model S11 commercial kitchen can opener. It is operated by hand. It is made mostly of stainless steel with other steel parts and a hard plastic knob on the crank handle. The stainless steel base has 3 holes for attaching to a table. The square bar on the opener is 16-1/2" in long and will accept cans to nearly the same height. It looks to be complete and was made in the USA. This can opener is in good cosmetic and working condition. I have not used this can opener on a regular basis. But I tested for operation by using a clamp to attach it to a table and opening a 16 oz can. I operated by tilting the crank handle vertically and firmly pushing down onto the can. I then tilted the crank handle in the horizontal postion and turned clockwise. It opened the can quickly and easily. I then raised the ... moreopener and removed the can and lid. It has some scratches, scuffs, and wear throughout, but it looks nice. The steel gear that turns the can has either light rust and/or grime and probably needs cleaning. I removed the cutting blade and cleaned. The cutting blade has some small knicks and doesn't feel extremely sharp. It is printed on top of the opener to"replace blade after opening 2500 cans to prevent slivers" I did not feel or see any slivers and I don't really know the condition of the blade, but it worked well. This is a fairly clean and nice looking can opener that will work well. This will be shipped via USPS priority mail. With insurance included. Up for bids. Is a vintage Edlund Company eggbeater. Made in USA Burlington Vt. this is on the round part of the beater. Also says Patent No. 1769224-0THER PAT Pend. This has a red wooden handle at the top and side, for turning. The wood at the top is cracked on both ends. Also, some of the red paint is worn. The middle part shows rust, but still turns easily.
