Rare Antique Primitive Butcher's Tin Fat Lard Dipper Hand Made
In years of attending farm sales. This is only the second fat dipper I have seen and this one is in much better condition than the other one I saw. It was used for dipping fat(hot lard/tallow) from the old cast iron pots used to render it from hog fat into tins in which it would be stored until used. This one is made of metal that attracts a magnet. It was hand made by a tinsmith who really knew what he was doing. The smithing is exceleent. It has a very small spout formed in the conical bowl from which the fat would be poured. The piece is in super shape with no serious dents, dings, or breaks. It is approximately 16 3/4" long and the bowl has a diameter of 5 3/4" If you like pimitives, consider this one because you may never see another. Very good condition and guaranteed original WWI Imperial German 98/05 Mauser butcher sawback bayonet that is clearly manufacturer marked J.A. HENCKELS on the blade along with the“twins” proof. Bayonet is not dated. Blade has mixed bright. Gray, and brown metal finish and was never sharpened. Saw teeth are all intact and are sharp and crisp. Remaining metal finish is also mixed bright, gray, and brown. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit with a few handling marks, lock button functions fine. Civil War Mess Kit, W. Greaves & Son Antique Flatware, Butcher Knife,Dinner Fork
These items were imported from England circa 1840-1855 where Mr. Greaves had a large factory in Sheffield. England. The knives are very sharp and all pieces are extremely well made. The handles are hand carved from a white bone that was common of the period. One of them has a minor crack as seen in the photo. There are four forks, two butcher knives and one fork for serving meat. Sizes are- dinner forks- 8 1/4" knives- 10 1/4" meat fork- 9 3/4" If you are a re-enactor with a Civil War unit, these are great items to serve your Mess Comrades! Please see photos for more details. WWI GERMAN 98/05 MAUSER BUTCHER SAWBACK BAYO-HAENEL 1915
Very good condition original WWI Imperial German 98/05 Mauser butcher sawback bayonet that is clearly manufacturer marked C.G. HAENEL SUHL on the blade and dated 1915 on the spine. Bayonet is a scarce transitional pattern example. With the ear high ears but later flash guard. Blade has original bright metal finish with a little scattered gray, has been sharpened. Saw teeth are all sharp and crisp. Remaining metal finish is brown. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit, lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original all steel scabbard that is clearly unit marked near the throat“164R.11.210. for the 164 th Infantry Regiment. Scabbard has smooth even brown patina with some fine pitting. No dents. Tough to find these 98/05 Mauser butcher bayonets with intact sawback, will make a nice example for your collection.

This grinder is designed to positively feed product down to the feed screw in the 100 lb hopper but is missing the positive feed arm. It was used as a breaking grinder without the arm. It is complete with 20HP 220V 3ph motor to a chain and sprocket drive assembly. The machine bears Model S 56AU. Serial# 223. Hopper is S/S, as was the missing positive feed arm. Transition is aluminum while grinder feed screw, grinding worm, head, and ring are hot tin dipped. Those parts were retinned recently. PRE WWI GERMAN M1898 N-a C.G. HAENEL SUHL BUTCHER BAYONET & LEATHER SCABBARD
Offered for sale is a fantastic 1918 German Butcher Bayonet manufactured by C G Haenel Suhl. There is very little rust on the blade. Most of what you see in the pictures is black from the leather scabbard. The most interesting thing about this bayonet and scabbard are the makers marks. They are a Crown over what looks like the letter A which matches none of the makers marks that I have seen online. Note: The marks on the bayonet match the marks on the scabbard.

Nice WW1 1915 Dtd German Sawback Pioneer Butcher Bayonet w. scabbard
Here is good original WW1 Imperial German so called"Butcher Bayonet" or rather pioneer bayonet with the saw toothed back. This one is unaltered with teeth fully intact. This one is is better than most I have had with simi bright blade and the scabbard with most of its original bluing intact. Shows use and wear but not nearly what you would expect for a bayonet nearing 100 years old. This one is dated 1915 on the Spine and was made by WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM& CIE Soligen. Blade was period sharpened. The Allies jumped on this one and utilized it to great effect as a propaganda tool on"Hun beastliness" that helped wip the American into a frenzy to join there cause. Overall a much nicer than average German WW1 M1898/05 Bayonet.
