German M1898 /05 Alex Coppel Solingen Bayonet Butcher Blade Scabbard & Frog
Greetings. Here we have a WWI German Model 1898/05 Bayonet with a metal scabbard and frog. These were used on the Gewehr 98 Rifles and called"Butcher blades" due to their resemblance of butcher knives of that period. Bayonet overall measures approx. 19-5/8" with a blade length of 14-1/2" Ricasso marked, ALEX COPPEL SOLINGEN. Cartouche marked, on crossguard top; Top Edge blade by handle marked, with crown W16 and additional cartouches. Pommel handle has identical markings. Metal Scabbard has cartouches markings on throat and finial. Leather Frog is marked, 1918" with Manuf. markings above it and the front left below the frog stud has additional markings as does the front neck area which appears to read, H. Very hard to find in decent condition for their age and journey through life. We have two LARGE meat cut segment signs. One for Pork and the other or beef. Used and shows some damage. This is an advertising item that was probably given away by the owner of a butcher shop almost 100 years ago. The main part is made of a piece of stamped metal that is textured to resemble tree bark; it is 8 1/2" tall. There is a hole at the top to hang it on a wall or it has a stand to display it on a table. At the top is a rectangular metal sign that is attached by rivets; on this is printed: COMPLIMENTS OF JOSEPH GREENTANER/ THE BUTCHER/ 59 JACKSON ST. BATAVIA, N.Y. BOTH PHONES" On the left side is attached a 1916 calendar with a page for each month(January is also listed as"First Month" February is"Second Month" etc. The pages have some chipping/ bits of paper loss. Antique industrial kitchen island butcher block table angle iron frame
You are considering a vintage industrial table with a butcher block top. The table was made from combining a salvaged 4" thick butcher block with a freshly welded angle iron base. I slightly sanded the butcher block and sealed it. I lightly painted the base so as not to completely cover the rust and surface texture. I used hammered dark bronze paint. I tried to take decent pictures so you can judge its condition for yourself. It is about 40" x 34 1/2" x 32" tall. You are welcome to inspect this piece in Granville. OH during the auction. Rogers Big R memriloc all MAPLE kit. This is the 5 ply with re-rings on all but the 8 and 10. Set does does scuffs. Scratches, expected wear and tear but is complete with no extra holes or modifications to any of the drums.Comes with the mounting hardware and 2 floor stands as shown.The chrome has peeled in places on the tri-mount but not on the stands. A few of the the smaller tension screws are either broken or missing. No problems with any of the drums staying in place. 14x22 bass drum, 16x16 floor tom, concert toms, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15. The 12,13, 14, and 15 have rerings so you could convert these to double sides toms if you wish.Expect some scratches scuffs, normal signs of wear and tear. All memrilocs present. A few always ... moreruin it for everyone. Background: Offered for auction is an original. German WWI Gewehr 98/05"Butcher Blade" Bayonet and Scabbard. This bayonet was decried by the Allies as being inhumane due to its width and presence of a saw blade in some cases. It is dated 1915 and was manufactured in the famous Erfurt factories. Description: This bayonet is a veteran of WWI and guaranteed to be of pre-1918 manufacture and use. As pictures show. The blade shows typical staining and sharpening, but retains its full shape and length. The brown wood grips have a nice aged patina with small dings and much of the varnish. The flash guard is present and there are numbers(18? stamped near the muzzle ring as well as the letter"S" The blade is mostly"in the white" and the staining is mostly confined to the right side. Someone sharpened it, but not badly done. The spine of the blade appears to have been used as a hammer and has a numbe of dings. The ricasso has the Imperial Crown and Erfurt. The spine has the German Imperial acceptance stamp as well as the date[19]15. The cross guard and pommel are dark metal with little pitting or rust. The button to affix the bayonet

Excellent condition. Minor surface rust but should clean up nicely. Knife measures 17 3/4 inches long total. Blade measures 12 3/8 inches long. Does not appear to have been sharpened much. Has a nice sharp edge on it now. Blade is perfectly strait. The makers mark is listed as a maker of WWII German daggers. I would assume this knife is from that era. I find no reference to this maker employed in the manufacture of butcher knives. Not a single shred of info to this point on Google. This makes this knife a pretty rare bird in the arena of collectible knives.

Scarce WWII Police Butcher Bayonet!!
You are bidding on a scarce WWII Reichswehr or Police Butcher Bayonet! This bayonet was originally a WWI S 98/05 Butcher Bayonet that was re-issued and given to either the Reichswehr or Police! The original white blades were blued or blackened. This piece is stunning throughout! The blackened blade is beautiful showing next to no wear at all! The blade is maker marked by Fichtel& Sachs A.G. Schweinfurt, though the left side of the name is a little faint but there. On the reverse side of the blade it is stamped"95" The spine of the blade is stamped with the imperial crests and dated"18" there is also a Crowned"L" cypher for King Ludwig this stamp is crisp! The back of the cross guard is also stamped 272 which I think is the armorers number. There is another crowned mark on the top of the cross guard. The grips ... moreare amazing, slotted with nine slots and there is what looks like a small stamped"J" on one of the grips. The pommel has an imperial stamp right at the end of the flash guard. There are to imperial stamps on the pommel right next to the mortise catch. The mortise button functions perfectly. The scabbard is in really nice shape with no dings. There is a stamp in the ball of the scabbard. The scabbard throat is stamped with a"9" and the reverse of the scabbard is stamped"4" There is a frog though I believe it to be from a K98 though I am not going to try and remove it! The frog is in excellent condition with incredible stitching. The back of the frog has three lines of numbers:0/0676, 0039, 4. This auction is for a rare WWI GERMAN M98/05 BUTCHER BLADE STYLE BAYONET with SAW-BACK(see pics) This bayonet was made by GOTTLIEB HAMMESFAHR of SOLINGEN FOCHE(marked as such near guard) The spine of the blade closest to the guard has a crown mark with W and 16(also another mark but cannot make out) The 16 denotes the blade being made in 1916. The saw-back blade bayonets were discontinued in 1916 due to the cruel wounds they left in soldiers. Overall length of the bayonet minus the scabbard is 19-1/2 inches. Condition: Overall nice condition for its age. The blade has had past sharpenings/grindings but still retains its factory shape. The saw-back has some high-point wear but still looks great. Wood handles still look great. There is no noteable rust. Solid old bayonet. The scabbard has several small dents. WWI GERMAN 98/05 MAUSER BUTCHER BAYO-HORSTER 1915
Very good condition original WWI German 98/05 Mauser butcher bayonet that is clearly manufacturer marked to Horster on the blade and dated 1915 on the spine. This classic piece was later reissued in WWII and has a sharp clear 1934 dated SuWw Waffenampt proof on the flash guard. Blade has beautiful reissue arsenal blue showing a little wear. Never sharpened. Remaining metal finish is original blue with some brown scale. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit, lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original all steel scabbard that has original blue metal finish with a little brown, no major dents. Tough to find these WWII Waffenampt marked 98/05 bayonets, will make an excellent addition to your collection.

Holler bayonet measures 19 1/2 inches in overall length with a 14 1/4 inch period sharpened blade and has not had its ears loped off. This bayonet is marked"F.W. Holler/Solingen" on the left side and"I/W/17/II/G' not sure about the last part. The scabbard has a few shallow dents and surface patina. For sale is 1 ww 1 period German butcher blade bayonet with imperial marks. Comes with scabbard which I think is matching. It is tight with no loose parts.Release button is functioning well. It has been well used and a little rough so look at pictures close. The blade at some time in the past was improperly sharpened. On one side of blade it says amberg with a crown above it. The other side says f. Herder asn,Solingen. The bayonet is 19 1/2 inches. Scabbard is 15 1/4 inches. The bayonet and scabbard pictured are the ones you will receive. WW1 Original German Bayonet frog for GEW 98 Butcher Bayonet
Stunning original first world war German combat bayonet frog. For the Mauser GEW'98 Butcher bayonet. This is simply the best condition WW1 frog I've seen. It is sturdy and flexible. All the stitching is original and intact. Four rivets present and intact.There are no rips or tears, the leather is soft and flexible without being floppy. One small hole(3mm diameter) at rear belt loop near top that does not come through to the front section. A keeper for your collection. Dated 1917 and maker marked. Difficult to read maker but more cleaning/ work may reveal it. Date is clear. Thanks for looking. I will post worldwide.
