Engis Hyprez lapping / polishing machine 15-LM w/ Minimiser Electronic Dispenser
Up for auction is an Engis Hyprez lapping machine. This particular machine was used to optically polish Compact disc and DVD molds to renew their surface finish. The surface had requirements of 1-2 lightbands of flatness with no defects microscopically or visually under intense lighting and dimensionally +/ 00005" I am including all available options with this machine. We have a lot more than I have seen on any similar machine on Ebay. The plate we use is a Kemet copper plate that is only a year old and has 1/2 an inch of copper surface remaining on it. This will last a few years even with everyday use. I am also including a spare plate that has some life left also. We used this plate for our polishing pads and could switch them out if needed. I am including a spare stirring unit so you can get slurry mixing while you are running. The ... moreautomatic sprayer controller is great to set spraying patterns. This allows the machine to be run unattended under optimal conditions. With this option you can adjust how frequently and how long the slurry will spray each time. You also set cycle time with this unit. And spray pressure. I would not want to run a machine without this option. We were using Hyprez diamond slurry and I am including 2 bottles of#3 and#6 slurry. 2 have the spray nozzles on them with the mixing pellets for the auto stir. I also have 2 spare nozzles with extra line incase you ever need to replace them. The original manual is included. I have a diamond dressing ring that goes with so you can set your plate to achieve the proper flatness and surface finish. Also a ceramic impregnation ring that helps smooth the finish on the piece being polished. This does 2 things. It makes sure the diamond slurry sets into the plate and sweeps away extra slurry. 1 ring weight is included to help the dressing ring cut faster when shaping the plate.
