Vintage Cinelli Steel Track Bars Badged Stem 1950's Rare Vintage Bike.
Rare pair of Vintage Cinelli Steel Track Bars and Badged Track Stem. Badge is the nice brass type with some of the original paint intact. These are no 14's. They are stamped to one side of the bar end. These are in original condition and show normal wear from many years of use. They could be re chromed but would look great on an original machine after they are or cleaned and polished. Some of the chrome is coming off in places as the pictures show. The 2 old logo are still quite visible but are not easy to photograph. Width of the bars is 37cms ctc and the stem is 130mm ctc. It has a nice deep drop also. There are no dings and they are straight, once these are taped up the rough ares of chrome will no longer be visible. 9 ft. steel Model train track rail measures 5mm(or 3/16ths inch tall ~0.1875 inch) it is ~4 mm wide at the bottom. ~2 mm at the top. This is vintage rail. Though I don't know the maker. There is ~9 feet of it. It appears used and is surface rusted, it has been curved a little bit, but this is 3 generally straight 3 ft pieces. I measured with calipers, it appears to be 5mm or 3/16ths inch tall ~(0.1875 inch) I am not sure if this is really Standard Gauge rail, it was sold with some other standard gauge items. please see pics I t weighs about 6 oz. They have never been installed, they are in very good condition with some light blemishes to the paint and some light surface rust on the bolts, the bolts are still very useable! The strap hangers are 6' long, 2' wide and the opening for the panel or door is 1 3/4' so these will work on a door that is 1 3/4' thick, these will hang on a single rail track that is up to 1 1/2' wide, there is no track with these you are buying just the two hangers. Mark Nobilette Steel Track Bike World Cup-RacedFrame This is an exceptional fully custom Columbus lugged track frame and fork built by Mark Nobilette. The former famous Rivendell builder. Compare to Sasha White's Vanilla, Pegoretti, Speedvagen, Tiemeyer, IF, Richard Sachs and only a few others. While not yet vintage, this is a collectible piece of track artistry and history. Nobilette is well known as one of the most astute steel builders in America. Mark was honored to win the 2009"Best Fillet Brazed Bike" at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show. The history of this frame Colby Pearce. Renowned American track racer added these comments in a recent conversation this month: I raced that bike from about 2001-2003. I convinced Mark Nobilette to use fork blades for the seat stays. And we tried to make it as aero as possible ... morewith what he had to work with. Its a pretty interesting and unique bike. Having him make the fork had the advantage of being able to choose the ideal fork rake(35mm) for madison racing(forks with that rake were hard to come by then) I raced this bike at World Cups and at the GoodWill Games in Melbourne in 2001 or 2002. Jame and I won a bronze medal there. Mike Tillman and I won a silver medal at the track world cup in Ipoh, Malaysia while I was riding that bike in the madison. November. 2011. This bike has been a shop'museum' display for the last four years. And it is now time to get the bike out on a track. It has not been ridden in at least 4 years, and was hung on a wall case the entire time.so the condition is pristine. One small scrape on the top tube is pictured, likely a dragged cleat. Note the bladed seat stays and custom seat clamp. This is seriously difficult welding. And marks of an extremely high end piece of artwork for the track. In addition to the custom frame. Rare Vintage 1930's Steel Track Pista Handlebars
Well used vintage set of steel track handlebars from. Who knows, 20's, 30's, 40's, with a 24.0 clamp area and 350mm width center to center. As you can see there is quite a bit of patina and whatever the plating is, nickel or tin, is peeling from the bar ends. Very nice track bend similar to cinelli#14 though. Looks as though brake levers were mounted to the bars as many track path racers of the era had. Both bar end holes are slightly oblong but stuff them with cork and wrap them in cloth and this would be a nice vintage bar for a track path racer.
