Very rare. Sekai 4000 track frame set. This frame was made in Seattle in the early 80s. It has been fully restored by Quiros custom frames out of boston ma. The frame has been stripped completely down to metal and then re-painted and badged to its original state. Frame has only been mocked up since the restoration. Never been crashed. Rides awesome! Frame has minor imperfections in the surface of the metal by BB shell and bottom side of down tube which are completely cosmetic and not at all structural. This is due to the surface rust that was completely removed after media blasting. Frame has since been treated with frame saver and a corrosion preventer Frame size is 55cm CTC. Stem is stamped 1956. Handlebars are stamped 1968. Handlebars have the earlier'pointed' shape to the centrale ferrule so despite the date difference they are an excellent aesthetic match. Both are in lovely condition. With excellent original chrome on the stem and bright polished alloy on the handlebars. They do show light patina commensurate with age. But nothing at all detracting. The engraved ferrule is clear and does not show any detracting marks either. The engraving itself on both stem and bars is deep and sharp. Description Up for sale: Classic Titan track bar and stem Beautiful underslung stem and track drops. The stem is in great shape. The bars show signs of use and age. Stem: Titan script logo on the front of the clamp area. 25.4 clamp approx 65mm reach. Bars: Classic curvy pista shape. Titan script logo on the clamp area-Chrome finish is showing wear and I believe someone has scuffed while polishing. Original owner cut a small length off each end. Which was customary among sprinters and track riders of the era. The bars are currently wrapped with brand new white cloth tape made by Newbaum. Ok so I am back and am re listing this stem. sorry i had to end the auction but im going to make this a 3 day auction to make up for it. So i am selling off some of my personal stems and ones I have lent to friends over the years. this one is a shallow drop track stem 115 long I built allmost a year ago. it has a 67 degree angle drop and is for 1 inch or 25.4 handlebars. it is 22.2 or 7/8 so it fits standard 1 inch steerers. it is based on cinelli style but i put a lot of custom touches into it to make it a one of a kind stem. it has a slash cut handlebar clamp. Molded and recessed wedge bolt pocket, peaked back cap, and a few other tricks. the chrome is sanded down on the insertion tube but isnt visible once the stem is installed. included is a photo of the back cap before chrome. you can find reviews and photos of my other work by searching ... morefor thatcher stems. thanks!

Up for auction is a track bike frame from the Italian bike manufacturer Gabriele Chesini. The model name is"Recordman" I guess it is from the mid to late 80s- please judge yourself. It is in used condition, with some optical signs of use, but technically the frame seems to be very fine. I am not sure if the paint is original or not, I guess it got a repaint some years ago. Waited over a year to get it as Serotta was waiting for the 3D rear track dropouts to be made. Serotta used stiffer tubes due to its purpose for the track. Specs: Seat tube 55cm center-to-center. Top tube 54.5cm center-to-center. Head tube length 15cm. Head tube angle 74º. Seat tube angle 74º. Fork rake 40mm. Rear spacing 120mm. Not drilled for a rear brake. No bottle cage bosses. Fork is a Serotta F3 8.5 fork. With carbon steerer, and titanium dropouts. Fork is 1 1/8, And drilled for a front brake. The headtube ... moreextends above the top tube 1.5 cm. Very aggressive geometry makes a super fun bike to ride. Don Walker Custom Track Steel frameset
This auction is for frame and fork only. Pictures are to show what it looks like built. This custom frame is designed for someone with short legs and long torso. It's difficult and sometimes impossible to get proper position and conform to UCI/USA Cycling equipment rules with typical frame design. I had it built with 1 inch threaded steerer tube and it's every bit as stiff as any over sized head tube carbon frame made. I used an adapter for threadless stems. This way when switching from massed start bars to time trial bars you do not have to adjust the headset at all. The bottom bracket height is 28 cm with low profile tires which means you don't hit the outside pedal when going slow on a very steep track and you don't hit the inside pedal when going very fast through turns on a very flat track. Both typical result in a crash. ... moreOr for you street riders it means flying around turns without clipping the inside pedal. These frames sell for over $2200. These were apparently used on a classic track bike once used in the early days of the Vigorelli Velodrome in Milan. Italy. They are in good order and for rear axle use- all threads are sound.
