La Cimbali M30 Dosatron 3 Group Espresso Machine
For Sale is a La Cimbali M30 Dosatron. From 1996 I believe. When I received it it had been used in two coffee shops and was disassembled sitting in my friends garage. I work in the Coffee industry and hold several technical certifications for other espresso machine manufacturers so I decided to refurbish this machine. This is a 220v. 3 group machine. I started by stripping the machine down to the frame. I added some new frame paint and cleaned up the guts. Then a heavy descaling of the boiler and heat exchangers. The boiler was painted with a high heat resistant. High gloss paint to make the internals look much cleaner. All of the internal piping was removed and descaled. As I went I replaced every gasket or seal that there is including Boiler Cap Gasket, Heat Exchanger gaskets, Group head gaskets, and Gicleur o-rings(all prone to wear out ... moreand some are rather pricy and difficult to replace) For the exterior the original paint was sandblasted away then it got primer and repainted in the colors of the Italian Flag(in tribute to its country of origin) and keeping with the theme the portafilter handles were redone and wrapped in Italian Leather. Sooo. there it is. I have put a lot of work into it and I will be sad to see it go. It will come with 2 plug heads and several extra portafilters. Owners manual, and some extra odds and ends. PLEASE NOTE: Sold as is. No returns, i have before and after pictures if you want to see them. Also take note that I moved before finishing the machine and my new apartment doesn't have 220v power so that it has not been tested since the refurbishment was done. Used machine. If you're looking for this brand then you know how expensive they are. They cost upwards of $3.000 new. These sell for over $1000 on eBay and usually cost somewhere around $100 to ship. This one is in good condition. It's fairly clean. However, the heating element recently quit. keep reading) Everything else on the machine works and I can verify that for you. As you can see I've taken pictures with my ohmmeter attached to the element and the thermal overload. You can see with the wires hooked up that it IS getting the 120V that it should. And if you remove the leads and check the resistance it shows infinity, meaning it has an open in the circuit. You can also see the resistance is 0 ohms on the thermal overload so it's definitely the element These can be bought directly from the vendor for $88 and I've seen ... morethem on eBay as low as $70. Looking at the pictures it is a very easy fix. You simply undo three 7/16" bolts. The new elements come with a new teflon gasket as well. I'm not spending the time to fix it. If I did I'd put it on eBay and get at LEAST double what I'm asking. This identical model sold last month for $750 and it was clearly described as a PARTS machine. This is a good chance for a"picker" to make a little money or for someone to get a good deal on a machine for their shop. Like I said it's fairly clean but you may want to polish it a little bit. In really fantastic working condition. I buy things at auctions and I picked this up. It was working when I pulled it though. I'm not sure what the canister is but when I looked it up on google I think its a water softener. If you know please clue me in. It had what I think is brown sugar on the outside of it.
