I am selling my used. But working great, Nuova Simonelli Oscar Plumbed 1 group black espresso machine. I purchased this machine completely reconditioned from Espresso Rescue 1 year ago and have it at my office where it is used twice a day. This machine is better than the regular ones you see as it is the professional one that connects to your water line with an ice-maker hose. The Oscars have one quirk. They cannot be put on a timer due to the fact that pressure must be bled off the tank every time it is turned on. It is a design flaw that they all have. I'm an energy nut so I wanted mine on a timer to run days only. I installed a specially designed internal vacuum breaker to correct this problem and now this machine can be put on a timer and automatically be ready for use in the morning without running 24/7! Beautiful 1981 Gaggia E90 1-Group Commercial Espresso Machine. Requires dedicated water supply and drain. This 1981 Gaggia was purchased and used as a display piece for over 30 years. When we recovered it. We inspected the boiler and found that it was spotless. Not a trace of dirt or scale inside. After sitting for 30+ years. Some parts had stopped functioning. To get the machine operating again. We installed a new pressure-stat, autofill solenoid, and pump. Everything else on the unit is original. We tested the machine on and off for a week and it operated flawlessly. The brass and copper cladding on this machine has developed a nice patina over the years. It does have some dings ... moreand scratches here and there from being moved around. Overall it is in very nice shape for a machine of this age. The dome on top is crowned with an eagle that alone weighs a few pounds. The cladding has a hammered copper finish. Both the boiler pressure gauge and the brew pressure gauge function perfectly. They read the exact pressures in the boiler and on the brewing side. We used this in the shop for a week to test and we found that it produces espresso that's on par with machines being sold today. It has a 3.5 liter boiler and a decent-sized heat exchanger. Nuova Simonelli Oscar Black Plumbed 1-Group Espresso Machine
Just reduced! First one gets it. I am selling my used. But working great, Nuova Simonelli Oscar Plumbed, one group, black espresso machine. I purchased this machine completely reconditioned from Espresso Rescue 1 year ago and have it at my office where it is used twice a day. This machine is better than the regular ones you see as it is the professional one that connects to your water line with an ice-maker hose. The Oscars have one quirk. They cannot be put on a timer due to the fact that pressure must be bled off the tank every time it is turned on. It is a design flaw that they all have. I'm an energy nut so I wanted mine on a timer to run days only. I installed a specially designed internal vacuum breaker to correct this problem and now this machine can be put on a timer and automatically be ready for use in the morning without running ... more24/7! It works great and they all should work this way. IF YOU BUY ANY OTHER OSCAR YOU WILL HAVE TO OPEN THE STEAM VALVE AND BLEED THE PRESSURE OFF UNTIL IT WARMS UP THEN MANUALLY CLOSE IT. Another enhancement I made was to add an under-group LED light so you can see your shots better. The Oscars create a shadow under the group head making viewing your shots difficult. This is a sweet upgrade. Now that this Oscar is perfect I am selling it and am moving up to a 2 group NS machine. The Oscar comes with the portafilter. Tamper, and water line. All you add under your sink is a 1/4" ice-maker valve and you are ready for endless espressos. You will need a grinder, but you know that or you wouldn't be reading this. In 2008 I got nervous of the economy going south and I saw an opportunity to open a road side coffee/hot dog stand. I know. Bad combination. I had always thought the spot was great, and it became available so I went for it. Turned out it was ok- not great, but more importantly my wife hated running the thing. In her words she felt couped up in a box. After only a few months we packed it up and sold everything, but the espresso machine that is. I had always wanted to keep it since it was such an awesome machine. We are in the middle of rennovating our kitchen and to be honest, there is just no good spot for it. So it has to go. It is constructed of the highest quality, is a bit of a beast. It is made in France, is a newer machine(made in 2011) This machine has only bee lightly used, currently sits in my home kitchen. La Cimbali Junior D/1 Espresso Machine Good Condition Needs Minor Work Free Ship
Used machine. If you're looking for this brand then you know how expensive they are. They cost upwards of $3.000 new. These sell for over $1000 on eBay and usually cost somewhere around $100 to ship. This one is in good condition. It's fairly clean. However, the heating element recently quit. keep reading) Everything else on the machine works and I can verify that for you. As you can see I've taken pictures with my ohmmeter attached to the element and the thermal overload. You can see with the wires hooked up that it IS getting the 120V that it should. And if you remove the leads and check the resistance it shows infinity, meaning it has an open in the circuit. You can also see the resistance is 0 ohms on the thermal overload so it's definitely the element These can be bought directly from the vendor for $88 and I've seen ... morethem on eBay as low as $70. Looking at the pictures it is a very easy fix. You simply undo three 7/16" bolts. The new elements come with a new teflon gasket as well. I'm not spending the time to fix it. If I did I'd put it on eBay and get at LEAST double what I'm asking. This identical model sold last month for $750 and it was clearly described as a PARTS machine. This is a good chance for a"picker" to make a little money or for someone to get a good deal on a machine for their shop. Like I said it's fairly clean but you may want to polish it a little bit. It is Stainless Steel so it cleans fairly easily. I don't have the owner's manual but they are obtainable online and this machine is supposedly very easy to use. FYI: This is a 110(120V) machine.
