I am now finding boxes of circular saw blades and several hanging on the walls. I picked these 3 at random. They are all Disston. 1) 7 3/8 inches in diameter marked planer 2) 7 1/4 inches in diameter marked cut off 3) 8 1/4 inches in diameter marked flooring. Gorgeous VINTAGE DISSTON USA Hand Crafted Turned Wooden Bowl With Lid
THANK YOU FOR VISITING US COTTAGE and CASTLE DESCRIPTION: Gorgeous VINTAGE DISSTON USA Hand Crafted Turned Wooden Bowl With Lid* A beautifully made wooden bowl that measures approximately 7 1/4" in diameter and 6" tall(including lid) One photo is next to Dollar bill to show relative scale and size. The bowl appears to have been hand turned. The sides of the bowl are about 1" thick. There is a metal plate inside the lid which is marked"DISSTON USA" The plate also has the Disston trade mark. The plate with trade mark appears to be very similar to those that are placed on Disston saws and other Disston hand tools that were made in the late 1800's and early 1900's. We did research and have found no turned wooden bowls made by Disston or any historic information indicating that they produced wooden bowls. The bowl ... morewas purchased from a local estate and we have no other information on it other than we are including here. The piece has gorgeous color and graining and a pretty low gloss finish. We think that it is most likely made from Walnut wood but are not certain of the type wood. The bowl would be great for any number of uses or just as a display piece. It has felt on the bottom and there are some moth holes in the green felt. Vintage Henry Disston No. 12 Crosscut Hand Saw 1896-1917
Vintage Henry Disston& Sons. No. 12 Straight Back, Crosscut Hand Saw, the blade is 24" long and 2" tall at toe, and 6-1/4" tall at the heal. There are 8 Teeth Per Inch, no missing teeth, the blade is straight and sharp. The blade is made of London Spring Steel, it is considered one of the best saw Henry Disston& Sons made. The handle is a Ornate Chip Carved Applewood, the top horn has a small chip out on the bottom. By the medallion this saw was manufactured from 1896 to 1917. The nib is still intact on the top front of the blade, in the handle are 4 Brass Screws and Medallion. If you have any questions. I will be glad to answer all inquiries. Vintage DISSTON #7 HAND SAW - 4 1/2 pt. RIP - Paper LABEL -Needs Restoration
OLD HAND SAW- PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE PHOTOS- Old Disston rip saw in fair used condition. Overall length with handle is 30 1/4 inches. Cutting edge is 26 inches long. Plate is 26 1/2 inches long. Measured to the back of the curved rear edge, a little over 2 1/2 inches tall near the toe and nearly 7 3/8 inches tall at the heel. Stamped 4 1/2 at the heel. Etch is a bit hard to read: HENRY DISSTON& SONS- KEYSTONE SAW WORKS- PHILADELPHIA. U.S.A. CAST STEEL- 7- WARRANTED- PATENT GROUND. Saw needs restoration. Dirty. As-found. Someone has cleaned the plate at some time with some sort of rotary tool, leaving circular shiney swirl marks all-over. Then, the saw was allowed to rust. The swirl marks are ugly. But most aren't deep enough to remove the lengthwise finishing marks. Someone who knows how to clean saws might be able to remove most ... moreof them. But I'm not certain. The subsequent rust is scattered thick gobs of dry. Dusty rust. Should shave off fairly easily, but will likely reveal stains and possibly some shallow corrosion. Plate is fairly straight. Teeth are in good condition. But could use a sharpening touch-up. Handle is dirty. Scuffed& scraped. Small chipping on the top horn and there is a tight crack through the thin lower"lamb's tongue" section(see photos below) Remnant of a paper decal on the hand grip is nearly worn-off and no longer readable. Paper decal around the medallion is dirty. Worn, bubbled-up, and only partially readable. The lower brass button has some shiny scrape marks. The remaining brass is in good, uncleaned condition. Unusual! Please check my other auctions for more good tools- including a couple more old saws- I will combine packaging to conserve shipping costs. Up for your consideration is a very rare Vintage Disston D-55 crosscut handsaw. The blade is made of stainless steel and the teeth are quite sharp and in perfect working order. The etch is very nice for the age of the saw. I believe this saw to be from 1940-47. Built during WWII. The saw blade is 26 inches with 8 points per inch. The handle shows minor wear but is"very" solid. This saw is very rare. Not many D-55 saws were made!

Set of 2 Antique Vintage Wooden Handle Saws - 1 Henry Disston USA 1930's/1940's
This is for a Set of 2 Saws- Both have Wooden Handles- The Largest one is a Henry Disston Saw Made in the USA- approx 23 1/4" from Tip to Tip- The Blade is approx 20" at longest point- One Side of the Handle has a Design Carved in the Wood with a Metal Emblem that has the DISSTON name and symbol- Good Working Order The Smaller one is approx 16 1/2 at the Longest Point Tip to Tip and the Blade is approx 12 3/4 at the longest point- This one has a split at one of the screws. so is a little loose. But can still be used. I have had these for many years and have used them numerous times. Both were from my grandfather who owned a logging company in Oregon. Here is a vintage Disston d15 Victory saw. The saw features a 26" blade and has a laminated wood handle. Which was only issued in 1947, making this a unique example of American craftsmanship. Blade appears to be in unused condition. Showing its original etchings and no signs of wear or bends. Handle is in good shape with a fair amount of its original lacquer finish intact. This will make a great addition to any vintage tool collection.

Up for bids is a vintage Warranted Superior saw with a Keystone K1 10" blade by Disston. I believe it is a dovetail or mitre saw but I'm unsure. Overall it is in fair condition. The handle has minor chipping to the wood and some paint transfer. The blade itself needs restoration unless its beyond it. I believe it has 12 tpi. The blade us straight with no waving. Overall. With the right care, this would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I am in no way an expert and try to describe things the best I can. Vintage WWII H. DISSTON & SONS MODEL 240 METAL CUTTING SAW 20" Blade Brass Nuts
Vintage(1940-1947) Henry Disston& Sons model 240(for cutting metal) It is a straight back saw. The medallion is brass. DISSTON U. S. Aw. The blade is 20" long, it's 1 1/2" at the toe and 5" at the heel. I believe it is 15 tpi or ppi and is not stamped with a number at the heel. Laser straight blade with some discoloration. There is no rust or pitting on the blade, just some grime. The etch on the blade is strong and will show better once the saw is cleaned up. I do not know what type of wood the handle is but it is nice. The handle is wheat-carved and has no chips, cracks or repairs. Nice handle. It does have some dings and scratches that come from use and age. Much of the original finish remains in the handle. I don't think it would take too much to restore this saw. Antique/Vintage old hack saw 25 inches long dission usa made. Exact age is NOT known. The blade is 25"in lenght and 6"width has some rust which will be left.ther are no missing teeth.And they appear to be still sharp. I havent tried to cut wood with it,so i dont know how it cuts. I never tried to clean this saw so it has a rustic appearance. It has a bueatiful wood handle and shows some wear but is in good condition. This is a nice old saw that I picked up at an estate sale. It has I believe the nickel plate logo and hardware. I think this saw is circa 1953 as it only reads Disston USA on the logo. It has a nice wood handle with a wheat design across the top. The wood on the handle is in pretty good condition just needs some preservative. The blade is what it is. I don't know much about the restoration of these old saws but it could probably clean up nicely. It has a short blade measuring approx. 20" long. Vintage Henry Disston & Sons, D-8 Skewback Hand Saw 1896-1917
Very nice vintage Henry Disston& Sons. D-8, Skewback, Crosscut Hand Saw, with 11 Teeth Per Inch. The blade is 20" long and 2" tall at the toe, and 6" tall at the heal, the surface show normal signs of age and use, some of the script is hard to read. The blade is straight and sharp, it looks as if it was recently sharpened. The Handle is Apple wood with no cracks, no splits and no chip outs, both horns are complete, some of the original varnish is worn off. The medallion and 4 screws are all brass, the medallion was used by Disston from 1896 to 1917. A very old saw, which was well taken of, and plenty of use left on it. If you have any questions.
