VINTAGE BOKER TREE BRAND SCISSORS SHEARS 8” MADE IN U.S.A.
You are bidding on a pair of Boker Tree Brand scissors. These scissors read"Made in USA" on one side and on the other"Boker(symbol of tree) Tree Brand The side of the scissors with the Boker Tree brand stamp are shiny silver. The side with“Made in USA” has some discoloration. Please see the photos for condition. The inside of the scissors is kind of dark gray. The metal is perfectly smooth on one side and on the other inside. There is a tiny bit of rust and probably a little steel wool would take care of it Bokers Tree brand has been around since at least the early 1900s as I saw some advertising on ebay from 1911. These are still very sharp and open and close smoothly There is still a lot of black on the handles. But as you can see from the photos some of the black has worn off. Vintage Hawley Tree Pruning Shears - Amazing Patina! Terrific On Display
Fabulous vintage tree pruning shears. It is very old. Amazing and beautiful patina! They are actually quite light and nimble, very well balanced in the hands, they feel much better than the new one I bought at the store recently. Just goes to show they don't make stuff like they used to! No over-looseness anywhere, it feels old but solid. I tried it out on some dead rose tops and it still cuts very well, I bet you could sharpen the blades and it would cut circles around the one I just bought! Not that you would want to do that, this is a wonderful vintage item that looks great on display anywhere from a den wall to an outdoor garden area. You really need to see this in person, I never get tired of looking at it. The metal bands are awesome. The wood is nice and smooth on the hands, no splinters.
