Up for your consideration is this very acceptable example of this historic Machin's Mills 1/2P. The coin has original color with VF detail. Especially on the reverse. Strong full date with great shield details! The coin has some verdigris and some rim issues but all in all a nice addition to a colonial collection. I believe this to be attributed as Vlack 19-87C. It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1847 and depicts Windsor and Kenilworth Castles in high relief and incredible detail. Apart from Windsor Castle the front cover has foliate and scrollwork decorations again in high relief. The front also has a small cartouche which is lightly engraved. The reverse cover showing Kenilworth Castle has similar floral and scrollwork decorations. Again in high relief. The card case is in excellent condition. The hinge works well and the lid closes fully. There is no damage or repair. Nathaniel Mills English Sterling Silver Vinaigrette Victorian Antique
This William IV silver vinaigrette was made by the celebrated silversmith Nathaniel Mills and hallmarked in Birmingham 1836. It is in very good condition and is slightly larger than the usual. There is overall decoration to the top with an initialled cartouche and the base is also decorated. The hinge to the case works well and the lid close tightly with a firm click. The ornately pierced grille and the interior of the case retains the original gilding and the side hinge of the grille works perfectly. There are no repairs and the only damage that I can see are a couple of very minor dings underneath the cartouche. A lovely example of Nathaniel Mills' work. This is an extraordinary. Fine and rare sterling silver castle top card case created by renowned English silversmith Nathaniel Mill in 1844. In high, projecting relief, the case features Warwick Castle on the River Avon enveloped by detailed scrollwork. The castle vignette projects a full 1/4 in. 6.4 mm) from the flat surface of the case. The other side features similar detailed scrollwork as well as a central C-scroll cartouche with engraved initials. The case opens to reveal a fully hallmarked inner lip, displaying the marks of silversmith Nathaniel Mills, the date( V for 1844) Origin(Birmingham) monarch(Queen Victoria) and assay. The card case measures 4 in. 10.2 cm) in height. 2 3/4 in. 7 cm) in width, and 5/16 in. 0.8 cm/8 mm) in thickness. It weighs 76 grams(2.5 ozs. troy/2.7 ozs. It reads on the label, GIANT GELATIN 40% with the ATLAS logo. Thousands of tons of explosives. Mainly dynamite, was manufactured at this factory years ago to support the copper mining industry. Many of these explosives factories were switched over to manufacture shells during the war years but this particular factory was allowed to produce explosives for use mainly in the mining industry. Copper from the Copper Country was used during the war years to produce brass which was needed for making the shell casings on our large warships and land guns and tanks and this close proximity powder company was key to getting the raw material out of the earth. These heavy paper ... moretubes are the real thing that wrapped the high explosive. They are made of a specially constructed and treated paper that is wax coated and very strong to contain the chemical explosion for a fraction of a second before it ripped through the cartridge with tremendous force. The paper looks like brown wrapping paper but it's a lot different in construction. The tube is 9 inches long and 1 1/4 inches in diameter and as you can see in the pics, in excellent condition. ORIGINAL 1930'S AFTERMA RKET JUKEBOX LIGHT-UP KIT PLASTICS Here's a set of early butterscotch colored plastics(Bakelite) made for dressing up/ updating early pre plastic light up jukebo xes. These came off of a W urlitzer 6 16 but they were made to fi t other 1930's models such as Wurlitzer 412. 416, Mills Zephyr. Rock-Ola Rythem King, Imperial an d some Seeburgs. I'm not sure of the maker of theses but probably The Stark Novelty Co or Jac obs Novel ty C o, t hey both made light up kits. As you can see. They will need to be cleaned a nd p olished. I lightly clean an area to show the color of the bakelite. Their in great shape with NO chips. Cracks or damage other than one has a minor bow that won't effect how it fits or looks on your jukebox. It looks like something dropped on the top and broke the glass, there is a small dent in the top chrome piece as seen in the picture. What you see is what you get. This has been stored in an unheated warehouse for the last 5 years. I am assuming it does not work. I am cleaning out all my storage space so it's gotta go. Buyer to arrange for and pay all shipping. This auction is for a vintage Pendleton Woolen Mills Cayuse Indian wool blanket. The blanket is from around the 1930's era. The blanket is free from stains and odors. The coloring is consistent throughout and the binding is in superb condition. There are two holes seen near the center along with some stretching.
