You are bidding on an industrial model 31-15 Singer sewing machine with a serial number that starts with AL66. the rest of the number is unreadable. This was working when it was stored in my basement 15 or so years ago but I have no idea if it's usable today. This includes the stand and the table. There is rust on various parts of the stand and sewing machine head. This includes the light and the thread holder. The wooden table has many cigarettes burns on the top. On the back edge. The 1/4" wood veneer is separating from the main slab of wood. The stand is a singer. The motor is a Westinghouse 1/3 HP. Let me know if you're interested and have questions. These multiple size and type of needles and pins were found in a bag of sewing items in an antique shop in Amish Country. The packages the needles come in look quite old. Some are rusted and tarnished. The three needles in the Milwards Needles package are Nickel Plated. One metal type needle(upper right corner of pic) is stuck into a piece of cardboard that says Patent No 1088057. Feb. 24, 1914. Great set of mixed needles for use or for collecting. I bought this sewing machine over 30 years ago to use for quilting. You can see the maple leaf quilt I made with it. This machine is in excellent working condition. I haven't used it a lot- case in point- my youngest son is 32 years old and I have not finished a quilt I started for him when he was less than a year old. This machine has been kept in the case in my smoke-free home(in an inside closet that does not have access to moisture) I do not see any evidence of rust. There are not a lot of working parts- it is a simple machine that sews a perfect straight stich. I never used it for anything other than piecing fabric blocks for quilts. This machine was made by the Singer Motor Company at their Elizabethpoint. NJ plant. From the serial number(AM154652) I found that it was made in 1955. Oiled, greased& timed(well serviced) Drip pad that catches any oil or grease from servicing in the bottom cover has been changed is clean& without odor, old oil will ... moregive off a strong smell so that has been taken care of. Bobbin case, rotary hook, hand wheel& motor pulley checked for embedded thread and cleaned, wiring and plug on foot pedal have been checked out and have been deemed safe. Original V style drive belt is in good shape, new light bulb works. Tension adjusted for medium weight fabric, if you need to re-adjust for different weight fabrics see manual. I don't just service my machines I totally go over all parts and inspect, and adjust if necessary, I take pride in my work. This beauty has been detailed, cleaned in and out. Old clear coat and worn decals have been removed from sewing surface as they showed wear, with a few layers of new clear coat added to the work surface to enhance and protect it's beautiful new gold decals. Then machine was buffed and waxed. It is not necessary to totally disassemble a machine and put it all back together again. 1970s patchwork quilt. Maple Leaf design, 80 x 89. Hand/machine quilting For sale I have a patchwork quilt made in the maple leaf pattern. It is a great piece. With colors of green red, and gold leaves in cotton solids. The white is done in a flannel fabric, making it a cozy, warm quilt. It is all patched together with machine stitching and the solid white with a white backing. It has 5 blocks that have a part of a leaf seam opened up, but it is on the seam, and can be easily stitched. There is minor soiling on the white, around the edges, and on one area. I have not washed it, but it should clean easily as it is all cotton. It is a 80 by 89" size, and pictured on a full size bed. All items stored and sold from smoke-free environment. Check out my! Cool jadeite green color makes this a looker as well as a worker! Machine has been thoroughly inspected. Tested, cleaned, and oiled. This is however a vintage machine and is therefore sold as-is. If it doesn't say Sue's FW'S. it's not mine! This is a 5 Ð ay auction that will end on Thursday night. Sew mark your calendars. This fabulous Featherweight has been cleaned in and out. Oiled, greased& timed(well serviced) Drip pad that catches any oil or grease from servicing in the bottom cover is clean& without odor, old oil will ... moregive off a strong smell so that has been taken care of. Bobbin case, rotary hook, hand wheel& motor pulley checked for embedded thread and clean, wiring and new plug on foot pedal have been checked out and have been deemed safe. Original V style drive belt has been replaced, light bulb works. Tension adjusted for medium weight fabric, if you need to re-adjust for different weight fabrics see manual. I don't just service my machines I totally go over all parts and inspect, and adjust if necessary, I take pride in my work like the men and women back in the day that manufactured them in the factory in New Jersey. This beauty has been detailed. Cleaned in and out. Then machine was hand buffed, polished and waxed. It is not necessary to totally disassemble a machine and put it all back together again. The factory built them to last a long time and taking them apart can cause damage unless it seriously needs to be done. I start with only the highest quality machines and cases that I can find and then make them perform to their best, then enhance or restore their cosmetic beauty.
