I acquired this piece of test equipment along with 15 others from a friend who closed his TV and Radio repair business about 10 years ago. Several pieces have gone to test equipment heaven and I have sold 7 pieces over the past two years and each buyer was happy with their purchase. This unit works great. It came out of a operating repair shop that closed. I have two of them and I'm keeping one for my bench. I don't have any test cables to include, but I used a couple of different generic/cheap sets of BNC to alligator clips from China and the'Lead Zero' works with them on both settings(open and short) so you should be able to use a set you have, or order a set on ebay for $5. The unit is in great condition. Shows less than typical wear and tear as you can see in the pictures. I tested several capacitors, inductors, and switching transformers and it was right on. Vintage Thomas Organ Model 9-3701 Cry Baby Stereo Fuzz-Wah TDK 5103 Inductor
Here is a vintage Thomas Organ Model 9-3701 Cry Baby Stereo Fuzz-Wah. It looks to be from around 1974. The pedal is in good shape for its age. It works well. With some scratchiness to the pots. The pedal features Stereo Wah effect, with the addition of a Fuzz effect. The Wah uses a TDK 5103 Faisal Inductor. The Wah works like any standard Wah, but there is a toe-tap switch to turn the Fuzz effect on and off independently of the Wah. The Fuzz can be adjusted by two trimmer pots located under the bottom cover. The trimmer pots control the Distortion Volume and the Distortion Sustain Time. It can be adjusted to a nice mellow bluesy tone to full 1960’s Acid Rock Fuzz. Right now I have it adjusted to a Hard Rock, almost Metal distortion. I spent some time in the Fire Service back in the 1990's and during that time we cleaned out the attic of the old Fire Station. I saved a few pieces that I was fond of. It comes with the 39G143 Test Leads(missing one alligator clip) SCR224 SCR& Triac Test Accessory, pull out Simplified Operating Instructions attached to the bottom of the unit, and an original factory manual. The test leads are missing the black alligator clip. It should be easy enough to replace. I used a set of test cables I had on the bench to test the unit. But those don't come with the unit. The manual is available online. Take a look at it and see what this unit is capable of. Its an amazing peice of test equipment. And they are getting harder and harder to find. The jacks were cleaned and a new battery foam pad was installed. New Dunlop replacement rubber bumpers and"feet" installed. A new quality aftermarket battery connector was installed by soldering and shrinkwrapping onto the existing wires as to not touch the circuit board. The clear hose is solidly attached to both ends with copper female caps and it is very sturdy. It measures 30"inches long and it is 1.5"inches thick. The heavy duty solid brass nozzle with chrome plated turn dial measures 9"inches long and is marked as follows: Akron Brass Mfg. Co. Akron. NH/ 95 G.P.M. and the silver chrome plated turn dial which is used for how much g.p.m. you would use is marked(1/2/3/6& 95) in the middle of it. The long thin 16" brass spray nozzle on the other end is not marked at all and is made of solid brass with a 4"inch long copper tip with a lot of corosion turned blue. Cadac G268-A vintage discrete micpre with inductor eq
Vintage Cadac G268-A micpre/eq from 1972. Very rare early Cadac modules from the early 70´s with Marinair transformers and inductor eq. This auction is for one module but i have six available. Contact me for a discount if you want to buy several. These modules were only used in the very early Cadac desks and were the first Cadac modules with the five band eq that has three midbands. They were predated by the G228 modules that had a more"normal" three band eq. Both of these modules used real inductors for the eq but were soon replaced with the thick film IC Gyrators in the G268-B and later versions. Hi and Low are switchable between peak/shelf and there is a five frequency HP filter. These early inductor version rarely comes up for sale since only a few desks that used them were made. What makes these modules even rarer are ... morethat the line gain and all eq switches are stepped for easy recall and purer soundpath. The modules have been completely recapped(30 electrolytics) and gone through and are fully functional Mic input transformer is a Marinair T1444 which is the same as the 10468 that were used in Neve modules. Line input is a Marinair T1447. Micpre is fully discrete and has 70db of gain. There is no output transformer in the modules but output is +4db so would be easy to add a 1:1 lineout transformer if needed. They are all original except for the small lights which has been changed for LED´s. Not a bad thing in my book. They run on +44v and have massive headroom. Very open sound but still very thick and fat. Very different. But in the same league as any classic Neve or API micpre. If needed i can provide at extra cost a prebuilt open frame powersupply which leaves +44 and +24v to power the module.

Cadac G268-A vintage discrete micpre with inductor eq pair
Pair of vintage Cadac G268-A micpre/eq modules from 1972. Very rare early Cadac modules from the early 70´s with Marinair transformers and inductor eq. This auction is for a pair of modules only though one is pictured. Both modules are identical. These modules were only used in the very early Cadac desks and were the first Cadac modules with the five band eq that has three midbands. They were predated by the G228 modules that had a more"normal" three band eq. Both of these modules used real inductors for the eq but were soon replaced with the thick film IC Gyrators in the G268-B and later versions. Hi and Low are switchable between peak/shelf and there is a five frequency HP filter. The early inductor version rarely comes up for sale since only a few desks that used them were made. What makes these modules even rarer are that ... morethe line gain and all eq switches are stepped for easy recall and purer soundpath. The modules have been completely recapped(30 electrolytics) and gone through and are fully functional Mic input transformer is a Marinair T1444 which is the same as the 10468 that were used in Neve modules. Line input is a Marinair T1447. Micpre is fully discrete and has 70db of gain. There is no output transformer in the modules but output is +4db so would be easy to add a 1:1 lineout transformer if needed. They are all original except for the small lights which has been changed for LED´s. Not a bad thing in my book. They run on +44v and have massive headroom. Very open sound but still very thick and fat. Very different. But in the same league as any classic Neve or API micpre. If needed i can provide at extra cost a prebuilt open frame powersupply which leaves +44 and +24v to power the module.

I am not sure what material the top and bottom are made of, perhaps wood, composite or Bakelite. There is a 3" diameter brown knob on the center top which turns a large graduated toothed wheel which can be seen protruding from all 4 sides of the instrument. The wheel is labeled from 6 to 44 in 0.2 graduations. It appears to turn about 180 degrees before hitting a stop. There are 4 screw connectors, 2 in each top corner, labeled P1, P2 and S1, S2.
