From the ATOMIC AGE here is a GERMANIUM DIODE CIRCUIT RADIO called DISASTERADIO in the original box. It's in a very cool shade of lime green. This radio comes from around 1958-59 at the apex of the Atomic Bomb scare. No cracks. Chips or hairline cracks in the casing. Virtually scratch/gouge free. I tried to get it to work but no sound came out of the earbud. I couldn't get the back cover off and didn't want to break anything so I don't know how the chassis looks. I think the antenna bar is loose and moving around inside- you can hear a rattling sound. There are a number of marks on the back that seem to have melted into the plastic. Pretty typical for these kinds of radios to have that kind of minor damage. The tuning dial is in excellent condition. All of the cords- for the antenna- and for tuning in stations are in excellent ... morecondition. All in all a VERY RARE germanium radio. Very very few of these are around.
