The Lovin Spoonful Daydream LP Kama Sutra KLP 8051
This auction is for an LP by The Lovin Spoonful. Called Daydream. The album is Kama Sutra KLP 8051. This is a mono recording. The cover shows obvious signs of being in a flood at one time. Water staining is prominent on both the front and back. The top and bottom seams have split halfway to two thirds of the way across. The top seam has tried to be repaired with tape. But the split has prevailed. The spine looks fine and is readable. The corners are still square and not rounded. The back cover shows in more detail the water damage, but the print on the back is still readable and all looks okay. The picture on the front is water damaged, but the ones on the back are fine, just showing wear from the LP being 48 years old. The LP itself is in much better shape. There are only a few surface scratches. Much less than one might expect from judging ... moreby the cover. The labels appear unscathed, almost as new. My price guide(The Goldmine Standard Catalog of American Records 1950-1990. 8th Edition, Dave Thompson, Krause Publications, copyright 2012, F + W Media, Inc. pg. 760) lists this disc at $40 in mint condition. But since the cover is so poor, I will start the bidding at only five dollars! So bid early and often for the best price. Please see photos for album quality.
