A great looking early adjustable voltage regulator by Westinghouse. Measuring 6 ½ by 6 inches at the base with a rectangular glass dome. I don’t know what it was used for or if it is functional but looks to be in good condition. No cracks or chips in the glass with some minor storage scratches on the bottom of the dome. I'm unsure of the exact age, but the last patent date on the rear paper label remnant is 1907, and the last patent date on the dial I.D. plaque is 1908. HUGE ANTIQUE VINTAGE WOOD CASE 1896 THOMSON WATT METER, GENERAL ELECTRIC!
Huge meter. Roughly 8" x 8" x 4.5" and heavy(6 lbs) Nice graphics on meter face; has a patent date of February 11, 1896. This unit has not been tested so please bid accordingly. The front cover is no longer attached. There are two pins that hold it in place and they were once soldered to the inside of the cover. The soldering has failed; an easy repair. I have shown the unit with the top and bottom covers removed. Very nice example of early electrical instrumentation! I don't control the shipping price you see and I know eBay's shipping calculator is crazy so if you are seeing a shipping rate that appears insane.
