This light meter was made by General Electric in the 1950's. It's a PR-1 type of meter and has a serial number of#L57990. It comes with a brown leather carrying case which zippers to secure the meter safely. The meter does work properly when pointed toward light and depressing the button. The measurement wheel spins and moves freely. As it is supposed to. Overall, the piece is in good working order, with minimal amounts of wear. The glass lens aperture on the front of the meter is clean and clear. The leather case is worn and there is one section of the zipper which has come loose from is fabric fastener. Great little estate find ~ a General Electric Type DW-68 Exposure/ Light Meter& comes with its own leather case which has a belt loop& meter has a neck strap. Case shows age/ usage wear but being leather. It should clean-up nicely. Meter was tested in varying light sources& appeared to register correct readings; however. It has not been tested for accuracy. Meter is very sturdy& well built& everything appears to work correctly with no missing parts or broken areas.
