Dimensions of box are 1-1/2" by 2-1/2" by 2-1/2" The meter appears to be made out of b rown bakelite. As my last two pictures show. The meter works when exposed to lights of different intensity. The metal on the sides and reverse has light rust. Otherwise it is in good cosmetic condition. I have no idea if it's in working order. I'm selling this Industrial Oak box. I believe that It was original used for a voltage meter or other electrical tool. I have been told that it is made of oak.I'm not a wood expert. The exterior dimensions are 11"x 91/2"x4 1/2" There are two compartments on the inside. They measure 10"x 2 1/2"x3" and the other measures 10"x 5'x 3" the hinges are loose on the back. On the front there is a small latch. There are a few scratches on the surface no major damage. As the pictures show there is hardware attached on the inside where the meters where screwed in place.

This is for a vintage General Electric DW-68 Light Exposure Meter with Case and Manual. I am selling this for my dad. Who hasn't used this in years and years. My dad purchased this new around 1955 and says it's in very good condition showing some light wear marks. The hood works great. The case is in good condition. He is really good with his tools and toys, so I'm sure he is correct in his assesment. This has been in the dry Colorado climate. This is a real gem of a meter primarily because of its beautiful case design. It has not been tested so count on it not working. Pictures do not lie but the metal bezel around the meter looks more corroded in the pictures than it appears in reality(in my opinion) There is some unfortunate corrosion around one of the front panel screws as shown in the pictures. Very nice item- sad to part with it. Need to down size! A very nice item, you will not be disappointed! Vintage 1950s General Electric Demand Meter, Type PD-5, 120 Volts AC, 11-1/2" x 13" x 7" deep, Internal meter mechanism is in excellent condition- chrome parts look good, Still has the ink ribbon and printed paper tape roll, Internal mechanism is on hinges and can swing out of the case, Outer case has a few scratches on front door frame- the paint on the rest of the housing is in excellent condition, The plastic knob is partially broken and the raised boss that supports the knob has a small crack in it, Handwritten maintenance notes inside indicate it was used in the'50s, Please contact us if you have any questions, We charge 8.25% sales tax for all items shipping within Illinois.
