Vintage Duncan smooth rays scalloped bowl irridecent 6 1/2 x 3.
Up for bids is a Duncan smooth ray carnival glass irridecent bowl. The pictures didn't turn out like I wish they would had. They dont do the bowl justice. I ts more of a silver irridecent on the inside and a purple on the back. It is just lovely, with no damages and no repairs. The only thing thing is I can see in this bowl is manufacturing things like air bubbles and some rough glass on the inside near the center which is what I like to see in Vintage glass. No two peices are alike. It is such a beautiful piece of glass.There is so much irridecence in this bowl and shine. It would make a lovey addition to any carnival, Duncan, and vintage glass collections. I got this piece at an auction. If you want to ask any questions please feel free to do so. Up for your consideration are what I believe are four very nice Duncan and Miller Sandwich Glass Stemmed Drinking Glasses. It is very difficult for someone who isn't a dealer or expert to decipher between the Anchor Hocking. Indiana Glass and Duncan and Miller sandwich patterns, but after much internet research I am relatively confident that these are Duncan and Miller. I couldn't find anything even remotely close to this item in the AH or IG lines. I did find this pattern on other glasses in the Duncan and Miller linen. The glasses measure approximately 5 3/4" in height and are approximately 3 1/4" in diameter at the mouth. Vintage (1936-55) Duncan & Miller Teardrop 3 part Tray
Officially called a“3 part Celery Dish” in the Teardrop pattern with slightly fluted rim by Duncan& Miller. My grandmother always called it(and we always used it) as a relish tray on holidays ~ a can of sliced cranberry sauce fits perfectly in the large compartment with bread& butter pickles and olives in the other two. Almost 12" long from handle to handle x 6¼” wide from back to front with no chips, cracks or other condition issues. Payment due within 3 days of close of auction. It has some mild superficial utility/scuff/scratch marks. The rim is smooth and without chatter. The base is ground with a few very small grinding flakes. Vintage Duncan Phyfe Dining Room Table/Chairs-Silken Finish
This is a vintage set. Duncan Phyfe styling with the not so often seen plume and drape design on the chair backs. Nicely turned double base with brass claw foot ends. Set includes the table and 6 chairs. Which is the 5 side chairs and 1"host or hostess" chair which was the standard set type offered back in the day. Size measures: Table 42x64 and 30" high; chairs are 37" high at the back shield, 17-1/4" seat height-allow another 2"3" for when you have the foam core and fabric on, and front width of the chair is 20-3/4" plus allow another 1/2" or so for fabric as it overlaps. I did not measure the arm chair which is a touch larger; and by the way, the arms are very sturdy-original-and not wiggly. There are no leaves anymore. You will need to have the chair seats recovered again. I do have the pattern ... morefrom when the old/original was removed in order to refinish it. The lighter refinishing on the chair seat ends is because the fabric overlapped and was ended with brass studs-see the last picture of how it originally looked. I have $650 into the original purchase and $1800 for the refinishing work for a total of $2400. It's a beautiful set and you will not find a better refinishing job that is flawless and silky to the touch. The reason I am selling has nothing to do with the quality of the set.
