VINTAGE GONSET MODEL 3226 REMOTE VFO FOR 6 AND 2 METERS
This is one you don't see very often.Styled to match the Communicator line of transceiver but should work with all the other vintage VHF radios of that era. It includes the output cable with Gonset xtal adaptor and has a built-in AC power supply. Original knobs, crisp lettering, excellent front panel,tunes 50-54 mc and 144-148 mc. The cabinet is not damaged or modified and the original paint is very good with some scratches. When plugged in the dial light comes on but I did not test further. As I was tuning, the main dial indicator would only move about 1 KC. I kept tuning, but dial indicator was barely moving. Suspect good cleaning and lubrication will get everything moving again. The probes look like they are in good condition and may be working since the stated problems seem to be with the meters themselves. The meter only works in the grid position but seems to act like a plate meter. On the bench I tuned for max power with load/dip on 40 meters and had 20-25 watts output. It's heavy, 26 lbs. shipped. We have here a Vintage Philco Wooden Tube Radio Model 42 122. It measures 17 1/2" wide. 11 1/2" tall and 9" deep. The wood has a lovely varnish on it. With a dark brown trim and what looks like inlay accents on the face of the radio. The on/off knob and station knob work. There is no power cord so we cannot test it. There are a few scratches over the entire radio. It looks great, and is sturdy. It has a brown bakelite face cover with a plastic cover over the stations. HEATHKIT MODEL HG-10B VFO FOR 80 -- 2 METERS
What vintage Heathkit station would be complete without a Heathkit VFO. Yes. 6& 2 meters are included on the roller drum dial. This is one styled to match the DX-60, HX-11 and others, but would work with all the other vintage transmitters of that era, like Knight Kit, Lafayette etc. It includes the power cable with octal plug attached, but you need to pull power from the transmitter or separate source. Original knobs, crisp lettering, excellent front panel, excellent dial numbers and the dial is not cracked on the ends of the dial drum. The cabinet is not damaged or modified and the original paint is excellent with some flaked spot on the RH side. HEATHKIT MODEL HR-1680 SSB/CW HAM RECEIVER 80-10 METERS
These receivers always amaze me at how good they sound and perform. This is a duplicate in my 300 + collection and now thinning 40 years of collecting. Covers the 80-10 meter ham bands only. Original knobs. Crisp lettering, excellent front panel, clear dial numbers, xtal calibrator, wide/narrow filter, working S meter, built-in speaker and that warm red glow that lights the shack. The cabinet is not damaged or modified and the paint is excellent with a few edge nicks. Vintage 1950's AEA Model 606 Gamma-o-meters/Survey Meter/Geiger Counter
Up for auction is this Vintage 1950's Survey Meter/Geiger Counter by Atomic-Electronic Associates. Top is very dark green and has a headphone jack along with several knobs. Meter and counter(light) This is a piece of history. Information taken from the website of ORAU.org: Output: no speaker but jack for headphones. The neon light labeled"Count" flashes every time a pulse is registered. Detector: Six Victoreen 6306 thin-walled GM tubes with bismuth cathodes. Ranges: 0–20, 0-40, 0-200 and 0-400 counts per second Size: 5” x 7 1/2” x 6” Batteries: one 1 1/2 volt"A" battery, one 15 volt(Burgess K10) one 67.5 volt. The meter actually was measuring when this was first found and dials moved around so I believe the batteries had just enough juice to get it going. Not sure if batteries are dead now or what but I can't get ... morethe meter to register again. The bottom is missing from this meter and the GM tubes show. CONAR Model 500 Receiver Vintage 80/40/15 This is a little 4-tube wonder. I bought this little receiver about 3 years ago on Ebay. I also bought 2 of the matching transmitters but have used them very little. They have been sitting on a shelf most of the time. I'm trying to downsize my radio equipment and parts. This vintage Conar receiver is in excellent condition both cosmetic& operational. Check Photos) Starting price is $99 and shipping $15(I paid considerably more than this when I made the original purchase almost 3 years ago) This receiver has been modified by the previous owner to enhance performance using the mods found on the website. Here is a rundown on the modifications: Installed 4 pole 3 position mod, Installed BFO on in STBY mod. This mod allows the operator to adjust receiver sensitivity while monitoring the transmitter ... moreCW signal. BFO CW-STBY Switch mod. This mod turns ON the BFO in the CW and STBY positions. Installed Fullwave Bridge Rectifier(removes the single diode) and filtering. This is the most important mod because it removes the AC hum from the speaker. Receiver mod devised by K8TK- Replaced 6BE6 Converter with 6CS6 To improve 80 Meters a micro switch was added that is activated by the band switch when turned to the 80 meter band. Three series diodes lower the voltage on the converter tube. Also installed SO-239. Fuse and grounding AC Cord. I have only used this unit for measuring capacitors and have not tested any of the other functions. RARE VTG CROSLEY METERS TUBE TABLE RADIO 1942 MODEL 52TA !!
MINT 1942 Crosley Tube Radio. NOT restored, true survivor This Crosley Tube Radio has been on my grandparents shelf for over 70 years. They purchased it new in 42' and ordered it custom with a grey and yellow cloth over the grill. The standard model came with a yellow grill cloth. This is not a reproduction or restored radio, it is in 100% mint condition, pulls in radio stations, does not hum or make any noise. I brought it to a local tube radio repairman and aside from replacing a few capacitors that were disintegrating and testing all the tubes, she's all original. 99% of these are refinished or need tubes replaced or the cloth is yellowed and tattered. This is a perfect survivor as they purchased a new black and white TV in the late 40's and said they never used the radio, just as a decoration. Would look fantastic in a living ... moreroom or Mancave! Own a piece of American history that will be in your family for generations. All the proceeds will go to keep my grandma comfortable for the remainder of her years in a retirement home.
