Lafayette TE-12 Vintage Volt Ohm meter
Fifties or sixties vintage Lafayette AC/DC volt ohm test meter purchased from someone who said it was"new in box" but since I can't verify that. I am selling it as"used. It shows no signs of wear that I can see and seems to work on all functions except for the highest ohms scale(probably a dirty switch contact? The only other problem that I know of is that the internal battery holder is cracked due to having to squeeze in a substitute battery in place of the original, which I could not find available. The slight difference in battery length caused the bakelite to crack and it had to be taped with electrical tape.

Cool relic from an industrial power plant- this meter is a work of art in itself. Made by General Electric- the cast housing is about 7" in diameter and 3.5" deep- it weighs in at 9 lbs! It was made shortly after the battle between AC and DC was settled- patent date on it is 1911 and marked as the Model D8. Beautiful vintage look with perfect wear for its age. Vintage Gurley flow meter for measuring velocity of water in open channels. Excellent condition. From my research on it this is an under ice model from about 1910-1930, usually put down with a rod through a hole cut in the ice during winter. Cups spin beautifully, the bearings are still good, some very light pitting due to age, I use modern ones of these for work and if you calibrated this it is probably still functional. 24" long by 6" wide at cups.
