Here we have a brilliant single board computer that's running either an 80C55 or a 80C56 processor as I have two of these. Both units are identical. They were originally very expensive remote terminals and are very well built. The operating system for these is eprom based so easily reprogrammable. Usually items like this arrive with us uncased but these are in fantastic little cases. The screen and the keyboard module are complete self contained units so this item would work just as well uncased. These have a power socket at the side but this leads to some low voltage AC circuitry but this can be bypassed and a DC source used on where the battery pack's used to be. The units have internal room for a four AA cell battery back that has been removed due to it no longer holding a charge. The robots were part of a robot project done at RIT. Mounted on the boards there are some surface mount components and some headers that may or may not be arduino compatible. As well as a micro usb jack, and a slide switch. You could use this as a base and just attach your controller board to the motors. Or scrap the boards and use the motors and wheels. Self Balance 2 Wheel Robot Project, ideal Arduino / PIC / ARM Microcontrollers
Hi Folks, Here is another little gem from my clear out: I started this 2 wheel. Self balancing robot project a while ago but other things got in the way so it did not get finished. What you are bidding on is: Custom Made Chassis This was build specially for the project. It is constructed from 1.2mm thick, perforated aluminium sheet which makes a very solid chassis. The perforations means it is easy to mount additional hardware, the holes are 3mm diameter and with a 7.5mm pitch. This stuff is not cheap. 26cm high, 13cm wide, 5cm deep, That is just for the chassis. With the wheels added it is 28cm wide Motors 2 x 6v 294RPM motors. These are quite powerful and are the same as Dagu uses on its Wild Thumper. Very little usage, less than 5 hours. The spec for them: Voltage: 6V(7.5V max) Outputshaft: 4mm dia, Load Current: 350mA, Stall Current: ... more5.5A, Stall Torque: 4Kg/cm, Gearbox Ratio: 34:1, Length( Exc. Shaft) 55mm, Diameter: 25mm, Weight: 90gm Wheels 2 x 120mm diameter all terrain wheels. Again. These are the same as on the Wild Thumper. These were removed from working surplus equipment and may have minor scuffs or scratches but each one is in good working condition and tested before it is sent out. There are a couple of different models. Some have black bezels, and some have silver bezels, but all are compatible with HDM40416L-4-L30P displays. They will come with a 16-Pin ribbon connector stub approx 8" long. You'll need to solder on some header pins or solder it directly to a breadboard with appropriate connections to the Arduino) Tested with the Arduino UNO(see example setup below) but should work with any Arduino provided you adjust the pin connections accordingly.
