15" 1000 watt amp custom subwoofer
The titanic 15 is very high output. This sub is 3 cubic feet internal volume. 20 x 20 x 20 inches. The cabinet. Amp, and drivers came from parts-express. How I modified the construction using a variety of materials and trying various drivers and measuring frequency and output versus sound quality is what makes this a custom sub. Its main output is from 18-200 hz. The eq is a real advantage in that you can pick a frequency from 18 hz to 105 hz and cut up to 12 db or boost up to 6db using a very narrow or wide Q or width of the frequency. Narrow just at freq. wide a large curve of frequencies will be attenuated or boosted. I have found using it in many rooms that the ability to cut up to 12 db over a wider frequency range is much more advantageous as many rooms have room nodes under a 100hz that make a certain frequency much louder than the ... morerest. But it can be a lot of fun to boost with a wide Q at 25 hz on action movies and have the house shake. You will feel it at the other end of the house as 1000 watts really gets a grip on a 15" Dont be fooled that 300 watts is enough. I have done about every modification to the box internally. Caulking all joints, lining the walls with asphalt damping material, lining the back wall with deflex panels to absorb bass, acoustical stuffing throughout, wood bracing as well as 5/8 steel tension rods for bracing as well. I have tried 5 different 15 inch drivers and found this to be the best for a combination of speed, output, and frequency extension. More audiophile sound and output than any commercial sub under 2000.00 Feel free to ask any questions. In home theater there is no substitute for size and power. I will ship lower 48 but buyer must pay. It is probably closer to 100 to ship with insurance given the weight. I will be shipping fedex ground. Pick up welcome. No grill. This is a 15 amp 2 pole breaker that will fit in the space of apx. 3/4" I have upgraded my electrical at my home and had a new panel installed. I know how hard the Zinsco breakers are to come by so I thought I would share them with someone that really needs them. As shown above. This breaker sells new for over $65! 1973 Fender Bassman 50 with the original double 15" speaker cabinet on original casters! All original and in excellent condition. Original tubes too! Tolex is in incredible shape for its age with no rips or tears. The metal parts are in good shape w/ very little pitting or rust. The front cover has ONE tear only. And it is about 1" and could be sewn together to look good. The original cover for the speakers still has the original color too, it's not all browned-out and dirty as so many of these years are. This is a closet kept amp for much of its life. Still has the original knurled knobs to clamp down the head onto the cabinet! Sounds excellent with NO scratchy pots or issues at all. It's a real joy to play guitar or bass through. NOT a'master volume' model! The faceplate looks in very good/ EXCELLENT condition ... morewith no rust. The Amp has a switch for Clean and Overdrive with volume and gain controls. The Equalization section includes controls for volume, bass, middle and treble. There are jacks for Input, Output and Headphone. The power cord it attached and stows in the cabinet. The amp has been tested and sounds good. Some minor scrapes on the beige tolex but no rips or tears, and some rust on the copper faceplate, otherwise very, very clean and sharp. Electronically perfect, recent complete shop-out by amp guru Doug Howerton, new power supply caps, and a couple of caps in the vibrato circuit have been renewed, matched NOS RCA 6V6 output tubes. Amp is otherwise ALL ORIGINAL, including the Jensen 12" Special Design" speaker, which has a 1960 date code and the transformers, which are extra beefy.
