STEAM TRACTOR / TRAIN ENGINE Weston Temp Gauge 0 - 1800 Degrees Fahrenheit
I do not have any history on the original way that this gauge was used. It may have been on an old steam tractor. Railroad engine, steam boiler, or other steam operated machine. It has a nice name plate on it that is painted that I believe is brass under the paint. There is a model number and a serial number stamped into the name plate but they are so small I can not read them, They would probably be readable if the paint was removed. The plate has raised lettering of"Model No Weston Zero Corrector Weston Electrical Instrument Corp. Newark, N.J. U.S.A. The name plate has two tiny screws that attache it to the gauge and there is a larger screw in the middle that may be a calibrating screw. The lettering on the inside of the gauge say's: 1- 1800 M. H-26311" There are two terminals on the back for wiring. and three screw holes on the frame for attaching it to something. The bell is just under 15 inches with a 33 inch body I have gone through and removed all major dents. Valves have all been cleaned, new corks, and aligned. There is no wear on any of the valves and they are all tight with great compression and pop. All the slides have been removed, cleaned, greased, and now move very freely. 1950s Weston Master IV Light Meter & Invercone Superb Cased Camera Exposure Set
I have a number of items from my 35mm days. They were a collection cased with my old Mirander and lenses but with the passing of time the camera body has ceased to work so all the lenses extensions and filters will be sold this week, the old Meter is rather a separate item as the camera was complete with built in exposure and this was rarely used, now quite collectable so it is offered separately. As you can see the condition is very good and I have opened the low light flap and taken readings from my pc screen and again from the electric light. Box would be excellent condition except for a paper tear on bottom(no paper missing) Instruction book is in excellent condition, exposure meter appears to be bakelite with the art deco look on the front, the exposure meter's condition is also excellent and the original strap is attached to the meter.
