The meter measures approximately 5 1/4" by 11 7/8 by 10 1/2" deep and weighs a little over 20 lbs. The glass front cover is intact and has no chips or cracks or other defects. The metal on the sides and reverse has light rust. Otherwise it is in good cosmetic condition. I have no idea if it's in working order. The attached images give an accurate impression of its cosmetic condition. It came out of the attic of an old factory slated for demolition. There are 2 old fuses mounted one on each side just above the meter and wired with old wire. I originally got this to make a Steampunk Lamp for my Man Cave. But never got it started and lost interest in it. I have seen these made into a lamp and the power wires are hooked to the meter and the dials turn as power is used. This a heavy item. Purchased at an estate sale. Was found in their basement. I found it interesting so I picked it up. I do not know anything about Electricity, or Meters, so I do not know if it works. I am selling as a Restore Project or as a collectible. The last patent date on it is 4/8/19& it was evidently made in Newark New Jersey. It states that it is a: TYPE OA WATTHOUR METER 100 AMPS 15 VOLTS SERIAL# 60774528 STYLE 170824F SINGLE PHASE 2 WIRE 60 CYCLES While taking the pictures I noticed a small(probably less than an inch) crack along the base of the glass near the one screw area. It is not visible when you look at the meter. That's why I almost missed seeing it. It is an antique Westinghouse Polyphase Watthour Meter. The meter is a large size at 11" tall x 7 3/4" wide x 9 1/2" deep. Including the posts. Without the posts, it is 5 1/2" deep. It weighs just under 23 pounds. It has some small chips and scratches to the glass and shows wear and use. There is some grime around the edge of the glass- see last picture. Overall. It is in very good used condition. A neat old large meter. I have an old GE Time Over Current relay listed in a separate auction at this time.

This was part of a warehouse purchase. The original owner. Who was an electrical contractor, passed away long ago and the relatives sold what was on the shelves. They knew nothing about the history of the items that were on the shelves. It has a repair tag with a hand drawing on the back(see pictures) I have no way of testing this meter and don't know if it was reset to zero after being repaired or if it is new and the repair tag was just used for the drawing. To me it looks new and complete. Because of these unknowns. I am auctioning this at what I think is a very low price.

It is an antique GE polyphase watthour meter. The meter is a large size at 22" long(including the wires along the bottom) X 6 3/4" wide x 6" deep. It weighs 34 pounds. The meter appears to be in good used condition. It has scrapes. Dings an some minor glass scratches. Overall, it presents nicely. The inside of the glass should be cleaned. I don't know if it is complete or if it works. A cool old time gauge. Would look great displayed in with industrial furnishings.

This is very old, circa 1910 1920-Plaque on the front has alot of information. See photos-When you open it. One of the pins in the hinges is gone, the other is still there-there are 2 papers full of information in the top of the lid. They are photographed, also that is not water damage there is a piece of damaged plastic in front, the papers are in great shape-knobs on top are metal. Knobs on bottom are most likely Bakelite, also little number markers are Bakelite or Celluloid-Leather strap. Wow this is heavy be glad you don't have to lug this around anymore! A completely new line of polyphase meters was introduced with the new standardized socket and A-base mountings. Unlike previous models that had several variations under the same model number, the V series had a separate model number for the type of service it was designed for: V-2(3-wire network) V-3(3-phase 3-wire) V-4(3-phase 4-wire Y; 3 stator) V-5(3-phase 4 wire Y; 2 1/2 stator) V-6(3-phase 4-wire delta; 2 stator) V-7(3-phase 4 wire; 3 stator) V-8(2-phase 5-wire) and V-10(totalizing) The V-4, V-7, and V-10 3-stator models were only made in A-base, all the others were available as either socket or A-base. Antique General Electric Company Watthour Meter Type 1-14 Circa 1917
This is a vintage watthour meter manufactured by General Electric. I was from a collection that belonged to a retired electrician. It has been kept in a dry storage for several decades. This meter was used by Wisconsin Hydro Electric Co. and still has the lead seals installed by the company. The meter has been tested and does run. The seals were not broken and meter may be dusty under cover. the glass is not broken. The previous owner made a note on cover with pencil that this meter was discontinued in 1917. Vintage Westingouse OB power meter. Had been converted to a lamp until an unfortunate contact with a cement floor cracked the glass dome. So. The HFS and HFA meter were replaced by the JS and JA meters. The basic concepts behind the HFS and HFA meters were retained and updated. Initially. These meters were to be produced with chrome steel magnets, but just prior to production, these magnet assemblies ... morewere replaced with new Alnico magnets. The steel base on the HFS(which was prone to rusting out) was replaced with an aluminum base on the JS. Type J2A was produced from 1954 to 1960. In 1954.
