VINTAGE 1925 FREED-EISEMANN BATTERY SET RADIO #50 W/ TUBES & METER - NICE!
Up for auction is a 1925 FREED Up for auction is a 1925 FREED- EISEMANN SEVEN TUBE BATTERY SET RADIO MODEL#50 in very nice condition. The cabinet of this radio shows normal signs of age and wear: some light surface scratches. Dents& dinks(mainly on the base board) and some veneer chips on the left hand side panel at the top(see picture) It could use a little glue in the same area for the veneer that is there. It is blended in very nicely and does not show when displayed. This cabinet has a pillar on all four corners and has a scrolled base and top. The diamond shaped wood appliqué on the door has a chip out of the top veneer piece. It is hard to see, but it is there. The wood knob is excellent on the front door. The two tone panel is excellent showing very minor wear. The metal escutcheons around the knobs and the dial have no dents, ... morebreaks or chips. This particular model, as you can see by the photo, has a nice Weston meter mounted in it. The bakelite knobs are in excellent condition and all turn freely. The gold metal dial turns properly, is in excellent condition and very easily read. The gold piano hinge, lid and door supports are in very nice condition and function properly. The chassis appears to be complete with tubes. Unfortunately, they tested as duds so they are for display purposes only. This set measures approximately 32 1/2" long, 13" deep and 12 1/2" tall. In my humble opinion, this is one of the nicer battery sets that Freed-Eisemann made- 2 tone panel, meter, pillars, etc. PLEASE review the photos and ask any questions prior to bidding. Nice antique item up for sale. Vintage air velocity meter. Made by Illinois testing laboratories Chicago Illinois. This is a quality made instrument with a nice leather handle and Bakelite case. The attachments are plated brass and have patent and mfg info stamped on them. The date that this one was tested was 5/18 1944. My research tells me this instrument was put into a windtunnel it was used to help the engineers calibrate and test jet engines. New wiring harness with sensor for power at hub and new cadence sensor. I just bought these last week and then my wife surprised me with a wireless power meter. The USB download cradle is also new in unopened package. Just had it as a spare and never needed it. There is a wrist strap in the case(not pictured) and an additional 8mm film cartridge in the camera. Perhaps it contains undeveloped footage of the Kennedy Assassination! Only one way to find out!

This is a military-grade VOM model TS-352 A/U is the meter used by the military in calibrating Hickok tube testers and is noted in the calibration instructions for the TV7 D/U, among others. It has the 1000 ohms/volt scale that is universal to the Hickok calibration instructions, no more trying to figure out what resistors to place over your DVM to get the proper voltages for calibrating, it's all here!
