Radiological Survey Meter 1961 #3 Victoreen vintage Civil Defense cold war
For sale is a vintage Civil Defense radiological survey meter V 720#3. There is a spot on the top paint that has been damaged. There is an instruction and maintenance manual with it. The manual has water damage and age from lying in the bottom of the box. The counter has a card inside saying calibrated Jul 15 1965. It is packed in the original box that looks like the card board top has been cut off and is placed in a plywood box. The plywood box top is coming apart on the lid back. Snap-on MT-470 Digital High Impedance Volt/Ohm Meter
An oldie but goodie. The outside paint is not pristine. The negative probe is missing the pointed tip, and one of the protective feet isn't original-even with all that, this is still an excellent, accurate, bullet-proof volt/ohm meter. If you like the original, US built Snap-on product, this is an excellent example of that storied tool line. I've had this since I was a Snap-on Dealer in the 80's, but I haven't turned a wrench in many years. Simpson Model 388 Therm-O-Meter Temperature Meter (circa 1965)
For sale is a used Simpson Model 388 Therm-O-Meter. Made by the Simpson Electric Company of Elgin. Illinois, U.S.A. around 1965. It has three selectable inputs from iron-constantan temperature probes. And contains a battery-powered compensation circuit. The meter displays degrees Fahrenheit and Centigrade. The black bakelite case of this meter measures about 7" x 6" x 3" Temperature probes. A battery(1.5 volt D-Size) or other accessories are not included in this sale. The condition of this meter is as follows: A small part of the case corner is broken off(see photo) The rest of the case is in good physical shape. With some scuff marks and scratches. It has been cleaned and given a hand buffing. The glass window of the display has been cleaned on both sides. Both front panel knobs turn freely. An old leaked battery was found ... morein the battery compartment. But the leakage remained within the compartment and was easy to clean up. The back plastic wall of the battery compartment appears to have been etched by the leakage. And the negative terminal spring is rusty. However. This spring still functions properly, and the positive terminal is clean. An iron-constantan probe was not available for testing purposes. So an iron-copper junction probe was constructed. A flame applied to the junction caused a needle deflection of about 30 degrees Centigrade. All three probe inputs produced similar results. This meter is being sold as-is. No tests have been done beyond those described above. If this meter is to be used for its intended purpose. It should be tested and calibrated with proper temperature probes.

I bought this kite brand new to learn the sport. I used it about eight times and moved on to a full sized kite. It is in perfect condition. It came set up as a 2 line kite. I removed the bridles and it is set up with pigtails to fly on a 4 line bar. The 2 line bar and bridles are included in the sale. The bar has only one hour of use on it. The pump is included in the sale. The pump rod broke almost immediately and so I sleeved it with a steel pipe and it is now better than new. The bag is like new and has the expandable bottom and top for rolling the kite up with the struts inflated. This kite likes strong wind and flies best in those conditions. The canopy and bladders are in great condition and it stays inflated for days. This has been a fun kite and is a cheap way to learn the sport or let your friends check it out.
