For auction is a nice WT-110A RCA Automatic Tube Tester with Tube testing cards. The case is in fair to good condition as seen by the pictures. The tube tester cards go from 1 volt tubes to 35 volt tubes and has the common types for amplifiers and tv sets such as 35W4. 12AX7, 6L6, 6K6 etc. I put a 12AU7 in the nine pin socket with the card in the slot and it tested fine(see picture) I put a 6L6 in the octal socket with the card and it gave output but when i wiggled the tube the output was"twitchy" This tester needs some tlc and for someone to go through it and check capacitors etc. The transformer checks fine. Vintage Hickok Model 600A Micromho Tube Tester with Roll Chart
Up for sale here is this vintage Hickok 600A tube tester. I picked up this tester from an estate many years ago. And it has been sitting on a box in my basement since then. I plugged it in and two light bulbs on the front lit up very faintly, but I tried to test a tube and got nothing. The bulbs stopped lighting up after that. I would assume that this needs recalibration at minimum, and possibly more than that. The big sprague grey thing on the back(resistor? appears to be cracked. The paper roll scrolls smoothly and reads great. Cord is fine. I have not cleaned, repaired, tested, or worked on this in any way. This tester has no case unfortunately. Hickok Model 533A Tube Tester==Nice!
Hickok 533A Tube Tester. This is an exceptionally clean tester that shows only minimal signs of use. There are a few scuffs on the case. But it otherwise looks and functions fine. The face is nice and bright and also looks very good. I see a few splotches of discoloration but nothing that stands out. The tester works great. As you can see from the images it calibrates to line voltage. It addition, I am showing it testing a 12AX7. the test results are commensurate with my calibrated Hickok 539C tester. Included are grid and plate cap jumpers and a copy of the Instruction Manual. This will make someone a very nice tester to use daily. Buyer pays $25 shipping in CONUS.

TV-7 A/U vacuum tube tester. Calibrated. Nice shape
Offered is a TV-7 A/U vacuum tube tester. It's in very nice cosmetic condition and it comes with all of its original attachments and original flip chart. I have owned this tester for at least 5-6 years and have had it calibrated by TV-7 specialist Dan Nelson. He has calibrated 5 or 6 TV-7's for me and always does an excellent job. The calibration document is included with the set. I have owned many TV-7's over the years. These were work horse units for the military and most received very heavy use. When you buy an original un-touched unit you can expect that it will need extensive repair to bring it back to life. The most common problem is that the 7& 9 pin Miniature sockets and the 8-pin Octal socket are going to be worn. The pins will be so loose that any tube that you test will wallow around in the socket making poor contact. ... moreLeaving you with an incorrect test reading or intermittent reading. These need to be changed. In addition both the 83 and 5Y3 rectifiers are usually well used and need to be replaced. Calibration will most certainly be"off" This set has had the 7&9 pin sockets replaced as well as the Octal socket. Anti-Ferrite beads have been added to all three. This is a feature of the TV7-D and is useful in preventing oscillation of high gain tubes such as WE417A and 6DJ8's. The set was also calibrated to spec's. A detailed calibration report is provided. It looks like the calibration service was@$200. I am downsizing now so, if you are looking for a nice clean calibrated TV-7 which will last you another decade or more, then this is probably the one for you. TV-10 D/U vacuum tube tester. Nice shape
Offered is a TV-10 D/U vacuum tube tester. Its in very nice cosmetic condition and it comes with a copy of the original manual/data sheet. The TV-10 is a mutual conductance type tester with circuitry similar to the TV-7. The notable difference between the two are additional sockets for the 829/832(the large white ceramic socket you see on the left hand side of the tester) and 2C39(on the right hand side next to the meter) In addition. The meter scale is set to read directly in micro-ohms rather than as a percentage. This is a benefit if you prefer not having to translate the percentage scale from a TV-7 into micro-ohms. I also note that the roll chart has settings for both the KT-88 and KT-66, which sometimes is missing from TV-7 data. The roll chart also shows a good list of Western Electric types including: 101,102, 262,300, 310, 311, 421 ... moreetc. The user manual has additional settings for 274 and the 205D. The T-10 is not a common tester. There far fewer of these around than the TV-2/3/or 7. I think it is probably superior to the 7. Several individuals I know think that they can be more accurately calibrated than the 7 and that is probably true. This set is all original as best I can tell. It does not appear to have had much use. The 7 and 9 pin mini sockets are tight and make good contact. Same too with the octal socket. The roll chart turns freely and all other functions appear to be in good operating shape. The only cosmetic flaw to note, besides the usual dents and dings, is that one of the hinges on the back side of the set has been replaced with something that looks modern. You can probably see this in one of the photos. I have owned this tester for 3-4 years and have only used it occasionally. I am downsizing now so, if you are looking for a nice clean TV-10, then this is probably the one for you. This unit is designed for 110-115VAC only. This tester came from one of my Ham friends who passed away several years ago. It is TESTED WORKING complete with a copy of the original instruction book which tells all about this unit and also how to calibrate it beside how to use it properly. It comes with more books, 2-tube sub books, tube schematic book and an old tube price list! This unit is in EXCELLENT CONDITION(Inside face, sockets and knobs are in like new condition) and appears to have been seldom used and shows NO signs of shop wear, extra clean and, with all of the tube sockets-each socket has common tubes listed beside each one and the values to set making this a very easy& fast ... moretester to use! Tubes such as a 12AX7 are listed and instead of doing two separate settings for the dual triode, you have two push buttons as"TEST-1 and TEST-2" that you can test both sides without making any other adjustments! This is a MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE tester that will tell you what you need to know about every tube you test and IS NOT a cheap diode tester. The B&K factory did a very nice job with this piece of equipment! The only downside of this tester is that it does not have sockets for early 4 or 5 pin tubes. Fantastic working 539C tube tester has 2011 manufacture meter +extras
I have decided to part with my 539C very reluctantly(serial# 396-00941) but it needs to see more use than I give it these days now that I have the at1000. This tester has been recently serviced and calibrated in Jan 2012 by Kara Chaffee and has a brand new production glass front meter bought from Roger Kennedy(receipt included for both) the original meter was the newer square plastic one(the kind you do NOT want) and this is a later model tester with the smooth face. Comes with original manual. Obsolete and foreign tube charts. This tester functions in every way and quite well, specs on tests have matched my at1000. I am including a vintage pair of headphones to use with the noise test function and a DC mA meter to plug in to the plate current jacks when reading this measurement. This will not be cheap but will be fully double boxed with ... morethick hard Styrofoam and fully insured against any damage that may occur in shipping. I will not accept returns on this but check my seller feedback and you will see an extensive history of service including multiple testers sold. This is the tester you want and ready to go so do not hesitate, I see these every so often and some have sold for way more just because the case is mint and shiny even though they have original meters that are prone to failure with age and have not been serviced. This tester will improve your work and or sales and easily pay for itself in the long run. Thanks for looking. Note a few things to consider. I was just informed that Kara no longer does service on Hickok testers so if you buy a 539C there is very few qualified reputable service places. The cost of the meter was $200, installation was $100, and service was about $125. Add to that you have to pay 2 way shipping and insurance on these for service(plus headphones and DC meter this is a total $600 value) That said this would be a great candidate for the major upgrades(digital meters, SS Rectifiers etc) offered by Mr Kennedy while he is still doing this work(another reason not to hesitate)

HERE'S A VERY NICE TUBE TESTER AT A BARGAIN PRICE. It does need some knowledgeable TLC however. As you can see this tester is in VG+ to excellent original condition. Case is fine. Roll chart exceptional. All lettering. Knobs, etc. mechanically OK. No loose switches, etc. Inside the unit is very clean and shows no signs of shop abuse, such as smoke or being left on continuously. The mystery is it will test some tubes exactly as you'd expect and some it doesn't! It may be a poor solder joint or a switch contact that I've overlooked. Moreover, I've given it a general cleaning and inspection and still haven't located the intermittent problem. As mentioned the roll chart is smooth and still very white indicating low use. The meter is in fine shape with no signs of abuse and few scratches. The transformer shows no signs ... moreof rust/corrosion and runs very cool and quiet. REALISTIC T-B-C Mod. 22-2032 TUBE TESTER Röhrenprüfgerät der US-Firma RADIO SHACK Das Gerät aus dem Jahr 1967 kann Röhren ab den 40er Jahren auf ihre Funktion prüfen. Bei den Maßen 210 x 190 x 80 mm und einem Gewicht von 1.6 Kg handelt es sich um ein sehr transportables Gerät. Es befindet sich in einem sehr guten Zustand, frei von Korrosion und Beschädigungen und ist sogar noch im Originalkarton verpackt. Beispiele: Ich möchte eine europäische ECH81 auf meinem RPG Realistic prüfen. Ein Blick in die Vergleichsliste bestimmt mir das amerikanische Äquivalent- eine 6AJ8. In dem beiliegenden Datenheft kann ich nun die entsprechenden Einstellungen zur Prüfung einer ECH81 vornehmen. Oder. Die Prüfung einer EL84 würde den Einstellungen für eine 6BQ5 entsprechen. This Maxon Electronics Utility Tester appears to be in near new condition. It does not have it's original test leads. I have however tested it with a couple of wires I cobbled together. It does work on the resistance range. And also DC voltage using a 9 volt battery(second photo) The manual says it will test both AC and DC voltages. The unit is in a metal case and everything looks to be in excellent condition.
