Hickok 6000 Tube Tester is Calibrated & All Within Specs 55 Tubes & 6L6 Included
Hickok 6000 Tube Tester Calibrated& All Within Specs 50 Tubes& 6L6 Included Hickok 6000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Information including the manual. Calibration procedures, and updated tube data are readily available at no charge at Bama and elsewhere. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket is at 6.2 volts that will help ensure accurate Gm test results. The two tubes in the tester are both RCA, 83 and 5Y3, were new in 10/2013 and both tested and balanced. This tester did not come with this case and is held down with only four screws although in the original case all ten were used. The plate on the case goes to this tester and the cases and plates were swapped with another tester. We did not plan on selling this tester and the appearance of the case was unimportant ... moreas long as the tester functioned properly. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated in 10/2013 and has been used little since. Notes during the calibration were recorded on a blank page in the manual. We use an outside source for the calibration tube and the tester is reading 5400 for Gm and the tube calls for 5475. This could be easily corrected. And according to the calibration procedures, the shunt dial would be tagged about one number or so lower to show 5475, but that has not been done and will be left up to the new owner. The calibration tube's Gm reading is from a 533A and from a very reputable and trusted source. The Hickok 6000 series is fairly simple to calibrate and instructions on calibration. The manual, and updated foreign and domestic tube data is readily available at no charge. The calibration can be done using a DMM as long as shunts are used and this tester was calibrated using both an analog and DMM. This tester has a pot to set the line voltage and with a 6L6 in the socket the line is at 6.2 volts which is where it needs to be. There have been some minor upgrades with a new capacitor on the meter, and although this tester is a 6000 not the

Here's a very nice Eico 666 tube tester. This is one of the nicest looking ones I've ever seen. Even the case is very nice. Inside. It's had the old caps and diodes replaced and it's been calibrated according to eico specs. Manual is included which also has some chart updates and even the building instructions. The Pictures show it testing a marginal 6L6 and then a new 6L6. The third tube being tested is a new RCA 12AX7. NOTE: the 12AX7 data settings on the chart are wrong. The correct ones are written on the front of the manual.

EICO 666 Dunamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester/EXCELLENT.
You are bidding on a great vintage Audio/Ham Radio Refurbished tube tester. That works great and looks great; inside and out! This tester is NOT a low end emission type tester, but is of the"Dynamic Mutual Conductance" type; like the higher end Jackson testers. I have gone through this unit and checked for any bad components, applied contact cleaner to ALL of the switch contacts and went thru the calibration process as per the user manual. It will test most all recent tube types as well as the older 4 pin types. It will test transistors as well, but I did not test that feature; however, I did test for the required 7.5vdc supply voltage to that circuitry and it was good. I have had this for over 40 years and never looked close enough at it to realize this was not an amp-meter. Until now. This is a Hearing aid battery tester. It has the name HAL HEN on it. I assume this is the brand name of it. I know absolutely nothing about hearing aid battery testers. I could not tell you if it works or not as I do not know how to check it. All I know is that it is old. The case has a few dings and scratches in it. When you shake it, the hand moves, so it is free. It has the word Volts on it, so I would say it measures in volts. Actron timing light gun inductive coolant tester gasket scraper hook awl spark
This is a nice little set of do it yourself auto diagnostic tools. The inductive timing light by Actron(comes with instructions) will work on any older vehicles that still had adjustable timing-now most cars are only adjustable at the factory or sometimes the dealership through re programming. I only used it a couple of times to set the base timing on my old 94 pick up truck. Remember. This can only set the base(initial) timing on most vehicles as most vehicles will have computer(s) that control the advancing/retarding of spark for various loads and speeds while your are driving down the road. The light works fine as long as you connect it properly, but this is not a rugged professional tool in an all steel housing. If you treat it gently and don't drop it on concrete or kick it around it should last a long time. The coolant tester is ... morethe hydrometer type-the different colored balls have different densities and the stronger your concentration of anti-freeze the more will float up. This is useful to tell you if your anti-freeze to water mixture is balanced. You want something in the middle-3-4 balls floating would be a good mix. None or 1 floating would be bad-as that would basically be plain water. 2 is questionable. Maybe still ok for milder climates. 5 would not be too good either, probably too strong a mix of antifreeze. Anyway, these are just guidelines, as there can be many other cooling system problems than the mix of the coolant, but it can be a good quick and easy health check. The A.C. gauge is another relatively quick check of overall system health. You connect it to the schroeder valve on your A.C. usually low pressure port) check your service manual or ask someone if you are not sure on this* and it tells you the relative state of charge of the freon in your car. Generally green and blue are ok-red and yellow could be a problem. The instructions(legend. Key) are on a label on the top of the gauge itself. Again, just gives you a good starting point so you can either perhaps charge the system
