Great vintage tube checker that works! I was able to test a few tubes on it. I got this from an estate sale where they were selling old radios. Tubes and such. The original operating instructions and tube chart were a bit worn out.but i was able to find a copy online and have included a printed copy. The GE Tube Checker. TC-3A, is an emission type tube checker. Tubes are tested for quality by a test wherein the grid is placed at cathode potential while the screen is placed at a lower potential then the plate. There are some imperfections in the paint of the main tester panel. Which I believe are from the factory. If you are really picky you will see some fine rub marks on the main tester panel, probably from the cardboard it was packed in. Here is a very nice B&K tester. Just like one of the ones I use every day. This one is very nice cosmetically and doesn't show much sign of wear. I checked several tubes of different types and the parameters came up very close to mine. It has two books with it in addition to the tube checking chart. One book shows how it works and how to use it and the other is an owner's that includes a schematic. I always tell people who buy these things to clean the control and the switches. That's about all that goes wrong with them under normal usage. This checker weighs 18 pounds and will go in a box that is 20 inches by 20 inches by 12 inches. Tis is a vintage Master Analyst Model 504. Made by Radio City Co. I bought this at a radio auction I am not shure how it works. It measures 9" x 7" It has the five adapters the are plugged in. On it it says Top Buttons For Currant and Voltage, Bottom Buttons For Voltage Only. It has tung& groove corners. The buttons all work, the cloth cord is in very good condition, and the other tube cord is in very good condition. The wood is dry, has some scratches, maybe just needs some oil. This is a very very nice antique tube tester. From late 1920's to early 1930's. This is original meter and neon indicator. It does work. And will test tubes. It may need to be calibrated, however I don't know. Without the tube pictured though. If you wanted to display this unit, it would restore quite nicely. Look at the pictures for condition of box and meter. I always enjoyed showing this one off. I have owned it for about twenty years. The unit comes with 2 different plug-in cables with 3 different adapters as well as the power plug. The unit powers up when plugged in. And by moving a few switches I see the"leakage" light illuminate as well. I have no other way of testing the operation of this unit but it does turn on. It also comes with the original Manual. TTC T-Berd 107A T1 DS1 Analyzer Tester - Acterna
This is a T-Berd 107A used for testing T1/ DS1 circuits. It's probably the best T1 analyzer I've ever owned. Very nice condition as I used it myself. Comes with the TTC carry case and some mini-bantam test cords and a test cord with alligator clips. Internal battery is dead. But it's a standard camcorder battery. It has a replacement Radio Shack power supply. The ones TTC supplied always died. I looped the DS1 ports and ran a couple of BER tests and Frame tests to make sure it was still running clean and it detected the inserted errors properly. Also comes with the TTC user manual still in the plastic wrap. Let me know if you have any questions or need more information on the 107A.
