Meter was apparently only used a few times and the overall condition reflects this(the protective plastic film is still in place on the LCD) As a precaution, the batteries have been replaced(battery compartment is clean) and the meter checked to confirm it was fully functional before listing. The Fluke T5-1000 provides measurement ranges for AC/DC voltage(automatic selection) AC current, resistance and continuity. The meter features a 2,000 count display, hazardous voltage indicator light, and a data hold function. Click Photo to See full Sized Image I recently picked up a nice big lot of electrical components from a school that had abandonded the program at least a couple of decades ago. Most of the dates I've found so far are from the 1970s. A lot of the stuff is going to be great for tube amp repair and projects. There will be a lot of great lots over the next several weeks. Some of the stuff appears to be gently used. Some of it appears to have never been used. It's a little tough to tell whether some of it is used or unused, but I'll do my best! This piece is a great tester with leads. I do not think these are the original leads. But they work just fine and are in good condition. This was used in a classroom ... moremany years ago and has been in climate controlled storage for the last 2 or 3 decades! I put some batteries(1-D, 1 9V) in it to test, but these batteries will not be included in this listing. I tested only basic functionality, by sticking the leads into an outlet to see if it was fuctioning. This tested functioning as well as my limited testing can provide. One of the pictures shows a black round disk type thing. This is the lens cap from my camera. It is not included in this auction. I'm including a printed out copy of the manual I found online from the good people at simpson260 dot com. I do not have the original manual for this unit. I have the original bottom to the styrofoam box that this came in originally. But I am missing the styrofoam top. If you've read this far. You probably know more about all the things this unit can do than I do, so check out the complete description and all the photos. Here is a nice early B&K Dyna Quik model 500 in good condition. This unit has been tested with a couple of tubes that were tested on a calibrated tester my friend owns and the tubes tested within 5% of his. The previous owner said he used this to test all his tubes and it worked very well. This tester has a 83 rectifier tube in it. And has a slight hum when powered up but everything seems to work as it should, it also comes with a 1B3GT adapter and the tube chart booklet plus there is a page on the back of the cover. I am also going to sell another B&K model 606 in another auction, check that one out. The case is in good condition with some worn spots and the latch has some rust. I bought this unit at a auction that sold lab equipment of Appalachian State College. I know very little about these machines so please feel free to ask questions. I have plugged it in and it does seem to work fine. The motor makes a little squeaking noise but I guess that is from lack of use. Here is what I found on the CSI website about this item. The CSI Pilling Tester is used to determine the tendency of fabrics to form pills or fuzz under test conditions that simulate wear and normal use. Because of the expense and time involved in testing fabrics by other means.
