Up for sale is a gently used Fluke Networks DTX-1800. I purchased this in May of 2012 and used it to certify around 700 links across 4 hotels that I work for. I have followed a strict ritual for the handling of this unit including; automatic shotgun privileges. Never left in vehicle, always keep natural curve in PLAs, always store PLAs with protective boots, etc. Basically I treated it like a new born baby. This is for a Maxon Utility Tester. It does not have tubes or transistors and is more accurate than most vtvm's with a three percent accuracy. It has a 7.5 volt internal battery pack and a high current resistor network to test Volts Amps and Resistance. It also can test leakage up to one megohm of resistance. There is only one range for the ohm meter. It starts at two ohms at the first increment and goes up to one kilo ohm then to infinity. You can plug in the power cord and plug appliances into the meter to get true amps drawn by the appliance. The manual shows how to test many household and automotive devices.
