At auction is this vintage/antique Marion Meter Tester in its original. Wooden case. Produced by the Marion Electronic Instrument Company, Manchester, N.H. USA. This is a Type M 1 machine with serial number 200, and was calibrated and checked on December 6, 1945. The machine is used to test and calibrate other meters(such as Voltmeters) Instructions are provided as shown in photo 5. To the extent that I could, I have tested this machine. It powers on as designed and the lamps(vacuum tubes) as shown in photo 4 glow. In the foreground of photo 1, you see a test lead with a jack on one end and clips(like alligator clips) on the other. The jack goes into the receptacle shown on the far right of photo 4. The clips are attached to the meter being tested. Instructions for the 4 dials as shown in photo 2 are provided in the case. The box is in outstanding ... morecondition except that the original leather carrying strap is missing(see photo 7) However, the hinges work as designed with the pins present and the clasp fasteners also are in great shape. The four rubber feet on the bottom and on the back are all present. Found at an estate in Salt Lake City.

Here is a vintage meter for the series 920 Electronamic tube& set tester made by the Precision Apparatus Co. of Elmhurst. NY. It measures decibels, AC& DC voltage, ohms, tubes and diodes. It measures 4.625" wide by 4.125" high. It has mounting screw centers of 4" by 3.625" The mounting hardware is included. It has a nice black bakelite case with no cracks, chips or hairlines. The glass cover is in nice shape as well. It has a screw adjustment for zeroing the needle on the front. This would make a great replacement for your non-working meter!
